Product was packaged great. It was a little awkward to put together until you got the 4 posts attached to the top. I'm hoping they will make a replacement canopy for it so that I will have that option in a few years as the one I have will eventually age.

Other than base pedestals, it was easy to put up

The Pergola is a nice piece addition to my deck I. read some of the reviews about the blowing of the shade structure well I had the same issue but I found out when my husband came home that you can actually lock the shade screen from blowing at all on both sides

I bought this as a gift for my wife to sit outside under shade during this Pandemic. As i built it, I questioned why the wood pieces would have circular holes on the top of the posts. I figured water/ snow would get in and split the wood. Well it took about 3 Weeks for the wood post to split. Also reading the question that was answered about removing the screen when not in use, It is nearly impossible to take it off and put it up without using a 10 foot ladder.

Don't buy, outside ring can't handle the heat after one fire and the slate popped. Plus the box is overloaded with styrofoam and plastic, what a waste. Last time I purchase any Hampton Bay products.

The wood beams are not as pictured. Look dry and dull. One beam was split & cracked. There was also a Bar that was bent. Didn’t know until we had already spent 4 hours on it making sure we had all the parts first and started putting it together. poor quality for the price. Had to return.

First, I’ll echo what others have said: 1) The top caps look unfinished and 2) the bottom post caps do not cover the screws. I’m not sure why they didn’t fix these issues, it’s sloppy. This pergola is heavy and appears pretty solid. We are pleased with its appearance and functionality. It only took 2 of us about 3 hours to build. It is very much overpriced ATM though. We paid just over $300 for ours. I would not pay $1500, it’s not worth that - maybe $500 but that’s it.

I am satisfied with this pergola. Good quality and the wind or the rain doesn't affect it. I like yhe look such as the arch design. I added to velcro curtains to help with the evening sun (sold somewhere else). I recommend this pergola. I had it since April 2024. Home Depot recommended 3 installers, and the one I chose did an excellent job.

The pergola is more sturdy than expected. It’s quite heavy and takes more than two people to assemble, however, when it’s done, it looks great. One thing I noticed is you need to lock the canopy on one side or the other if there’s any wind, otherwise it will blow up in the air and settle along the side of the Pergola- and require some adjustment to get it back in place

I was sent 2 boxes of the legs instead of 1 box of the legs and 1 box of the canopy.

Nice pergola for the price, but the sling canopy needs to be removed when wind is greater than 20 mph.

Sent me two sets of the posts, no metal, customer service was unable to resolve, now i’m out 1.5k and there are 300 lbs of half opened packages on my deck.

Love the pergola! Would recommend having someone who knows peas thing or two about construction if you are attaching this to a deck.

We live in Pennsylvania and the Canopy was used for 5 months and stored for 7 months every year, and it lasted for only two summers due to sun damage. The canopy is a heavy nylon breathable weave and is none replaceable - you cannot buy it anywhere. The recommended replacement is offered by a third party and it's light weight and none comparable. Since the canopy is a significant part of this pergula, without it you end up stuck with the framework. DO NOT BUY!

Enjoying it and easy to put together

Ordered and returned twice. Both deliveries sent two boxes of wooden base and no canopy tops. Boxes are incorrectly marked.

Beautifull and affordable. Relativeley easy to assemble.

Ordered 3 times and every time it was delivered it was incomplete Sent all 3 back and we will never deal with Home Depot again very unpleasant experience!!!

It was easy to put together and seems sturdy enough. But in high winds the canopy doesn’t stay in place. Had to bye clips to hold it in place. The delivery was way faster than expected, so it sat outside longer than it should have. We were not notified that it was delivered.

Easily the worst retail experience of my life. HD customer service was appallingly poor. Product delivered incorrectly and no one at HD would help, pushing their mistake onto me as my problem. Then, they held my $ 1700 ransom. Pathetic, is far to generous an adjective to use for the HD in this case!

after several attempts I have decided to spend my money elsewhere. It's nothing like walking into a home depot to find just what your looking for ,for them to make it hard to buy. The store does not carry stock so you have to order . There is no ship to store option,it will have to be shipped to your house,which it say next day shipping. Now this wouldn't be a problem since it's the weekend and someone will be home but then when placing the order the shipping changed. I'm not paying 1500 for an item to be dropped off on my lawn while I'm at work. Guess HD don't want my money.

We purchased this pergola last March and have been enjoying it ever since. It took two people (my wife and I) 3-4 hours to fully assemble the pergola. It was wonderful throughout last summer and has been holding up well throughout its first winter (we're in Ohio and we did remove the canopy and put it into storage in early November so it wouldn't be subject to snow and ice). It was fairly easy to assemble and seems to be a quality item so far.
