I have had this fan for about a month now and it has been great! I hope this picture helps for anyone wondering how it ACTUALLY looks.

I think there is a GHOST in our house too. We bought this a little under a year ago. No problem until a this month ago. I made sure the light were off before heading to bed and decide to get up in the middle and the light was on. I woke up everyone to asked if they were the one who left the light on, and they all said no. And just this evening while watching TV it came on all by itself.

This fan definitely looks good and modern, but the light randomly turns on. Thought my house was haunted but seems to be a reoccurring issue. Not fun for the light to turn on in the middle of the night.

We bought two of these fans. Loved them initially. They have a great sleek matte black finish. Which gave a small modern touch to our 1900s house. Just hit 6 months with them and the LED panel in one of them is completely burnt out and we have no idea what to do now. Do we buy a new fan? Do we buy a replacement part? It is ridiculous that it only lasted 6 months.

Am going to sue the manufacturer! One of the blades snapped off and hit my daughter in the middle of the night. Traumatic - now she is afraid of fans!! To be clear - it didn’t unscrew of anything - it snapped clear. See pictures.

I bought this in-store, so I didn't have a chance to read the reviews. Had I read them, I probably would've avoided this model due to the issues with the light kit. The fan itself works well. It's quiet, well balanced, and puts out a good amount of airflow. This model isn't fancy, but it's not bad looking either. The LED lights on the other hand, failed right out of the box. I had to order a replacement kit for $20 just to be able to use the light. I would not recommend this one if you ever plan on using the light.

Our bedroom is fairly large and this fans moves enough air to cool it. Painted the blades matte black too.

We just installed this fan. Paid our electrician to do it and the light portion does not work. Home Depot will only refund the fan purchase price and now we have no lights, so we have to wait for the electrician to install another fan and go to Home Depot to return this one. No more Home Depot purchases for us. There were dead moths in the light portion. It probably sat in their store for years.

Good price. Very nice looking. Easy to install and use. 50,000 LED hours on light. But when the light burns out and the fan is still workIng, there is no light replacement. You have to change the whole fan and light unit. But, still 50,000 hours is a lifetime. By that time you will be ready for the newest fashionable unit in Home Depot.

Fan worked fine, but the light burned out after 3 months. Couldnt find a replacement for the light. Not Worth Buying. Waste of money

I got one for my sons room and liked the look and price I went out and got 3 more.l the next day. We have had nothing but trouble with the light kits. Like other have pointed out they are literally discontinued because they burn up so fast. Out of 4 fans all have a bad light now. We have gotten multiple replacements for each from the manufacturer which were scratched up so I assume they were returned parts that were repaired. I would not buy this fan and regret the ones I did purchase. Why build a fan with a proprietary light kit that isn't in production...sorry the pictures are in low light, but you know why now...

We moved into a new house this year. In our prior house, we installed three of the Merwry fans in three different rooms. All three worked perfectly while we lived there. So when we wanted a new fan for our living room in our new house, we decided to buy another Merwry fan since we were so happy with the first three we bought and installed in our prior home. Installation is fast and easy. The directions are easy to follow and are detailed. People saying that the light is not bright enough don't know how to use the remote control to either dim or make the light brighter. Just hold down the bottom button, where it shows a light bulb and the fan light will cycle through bright to dim over and over until you release the button at your desired brightness. All pieces fit together perfectly and we are very happy with the mat black finish. This was the first time we bought this color and it looks very modern and clean. I would buy this fan again if we needed another one and I recommend it to anyone that needs a sleek modern fan. It also comes in a few other color options. The LED light kit is included as is the remote control. Fan is very quiet and you can change the rotation easily by flipping a switch on the fan motor.

I was very pleased with this purchase. Since I didn't spend a lot of money on some of the fancier options, I was prepared for a mediocre look and performance. However, I have it now installed and it's perfect! Really modern design, super quiet and bonus: a dimmable LED light that I didn't even know was a feature! I took one point off ease of installation since I had a handyman install it for me and one point off of quality since I don't really know how it'll perform long-term. Overall, happy with my purchase.

The fan was easy to assemble and works great. It is quiet and cools the room down. I definitely recommend this fan!

Works great quick install and looks great

Bought three of these less than 2 years ago. Bulb is advertised to last 36 years. 1.5 years in, bulb stopped working. Now here's why I HATE this product. The bulb is IMPOSSIBLE to find to replace. It's literally discontinued. This is a nightmare. Can't contact anyone to replace it. Total piece of garbage.

We have had this fan for less than a year. The fan died about 9 months in and of course Home Depot has washed their hands of it.Maybe I should have purchased a warrenty, and honostly. Maybe I did I have to find my receipt. The problem is this fan is a bear to install. It has a remote box that must be put in between the unit just right with all the electric cables just tucked underneath and there is no room. It was really bad. I will need to know take it out of the ceiling and take it to the manufacturer some how. It does have a limited warrenty and of course that is up to the manufacture if they are kind enough to replace. ,We will see. The nice lady at home depot did call back to give me the info. She was nice Other than that. Don't bother. You will be replacing it.

Got the fan home and started to hang it but the remote receiver will not fit in a foursquare ceiling junction box that is standard for the industry. It also will not fit in the cover that goes at the top of the ceiling fan. I called customer service and ask them if there was a repair or if I should put the remote in the attic and customer service was very rude and hung up on me. Impossible to adjust the speed on the fan without the remote control. I do not want to put the receiver exposed outside of the housing or attach it to the ceiling because It will be ugly and I really don’t wanna crawl up in the attic in Texas during the summer time to put the receiver up there. Not a good purchase.

Love the semi-industrial look that it adds to our room.

This fan is very clean and streamlined looking. The way the blades attach above the light fixture is seamless. I did expect the LED light to be brighter than it is, but it is also in a darker room. Love the look and quality.

Makes all the difference on a hot summer day! Replaced a recess light. Would prefer a nicer looking remote, but we tucked it away so it's out of view. Install was not hard, unfortunately, you have to disassemble it before install.

The first fan we bought was great for about 4 years. Then the light started to flicker. It’s an LED so you can’t change it. We had to swap it with the one in our patio (our 2nd fan). We also have a third fan which is now in the baby’s room. The fan stays on as normal, but the light turns on by itself randomly. It’s kind of scary. First time happened in the middle of the night when I went to change baby’s diaper. For the last 2 or 3 months it’s been doing that. We have no other interference in the room. Our fan in the next room is on a different RF so that can’t be it either. Anyways, until we get it figured out I can’t use the fan at night or else the light will turn on and wake baby. Apart from that, the fan is effective and quiet, but doesn’t have a reverse option, or ability to change the bulb. The dimmer switch (hold down the light button on the remote) is good.

I spray painted the blades black and love the way it looks. Very sleek and modern. Also puts out a lot of air and runs very quietly.

I love these fans. I put one in every bedroom of the house. They are totally quiet and balanced. There is no rocking. No squeaks. I put in the first one about 3-4 years ago. I hung them myself. They are easy to install.especially after the first one. If I were to change anything about them, it would be that I would want to be able to manually control them meaning without the remote control but you can't. There are no button to push or chains to pull. I don't think there is a reverse on it either but I never used that anyways. I also wish the light could be a dimmer-light that could be turned up or down instead of just off and on. Otherwise, these fans are flawless! I will eventually get a few more for the living room and the den.

My son is happy to now have a remote fan in his room. It was fairly easy to assemble and mount. The wires from the fan are very long and did need to be cut and spliced unless you are using a long downrod. Also be prepared to have a very short screwdriver for one of the last steps.
