Peace of mind knowing I will be notified on my phone if there is a leak.

I am very pleased with my Leak and Freeze Detector. I have it beside my water heater in case it leaks. When I travel I can check the temperature and humidity by looking at my phone App anytime I want. Great peace of mind!

I like that I don’t have to keep checking on this I will get notification on my phone if something is wrong or hear beeping

I bought one years ago and loved it. At end of life I bought another - would not connect to the internet. Bought a second one and it also did not connect to the internet. I took both back and have moved on. Not sure why two I. A row were defective - but very frustrating

Good product, but instruction manual too brief. Also, it is hard to know if detector is functioning. The app. Should be improved

One of the three leak detectors I received was used. I had to reset it to get it to work and the batteries were at 70%.

I was looking for a Wi-Fi-enabled leak-detector device to place in the emergency drain pain of my of my HVAC units. I already had a leak-detection system (of another company altogether) on my plumbing line with an automatic shutoff valve, and with three or four leak-detector devices to place near plumbing appliances. I did a great deal of research looking for the right Wi-Fi-enabled leak detector to place in the emergency drain pain and I tested many of them out. The resideo seems to have everything I wanted—it is a solid piece of equipment, it does not need a hub, it was really easy to connect to our home Wi-Fi network, I can sub out the batteries by simply removing the cover (without needing a screwdriver), it has an LED light, it can be reset without having to pull out the batteries (by using a paperclip), the app is easy to use, and it sends push notifications and e-mail messages (a) when it detects water (buzzer alarm and red LED flashes too), (b) when temperature or humidity is outside the custom settings, (c) when the device goes offline, (d) low battery level (the detector starts beeping once every minute after reaching roughly 5% levels to remind you to replace batteries), and (e) when any of the above Alerts (water leak, temperature, humidity, battery levels, offline) is resolved. I like that, as a bonus, it gives me temperature and humidity readings, and even shows trends for both. I would have liked for Alerts to be texted too; but, the the resideo does not have that capability. The resideo comes with a water-sensing cable that can be attached; but, I do not intend to attach that for use in the emergency drain pan. An impressive Wirecutter article reviewing many water-leak detectors provided that the resideo was not as quick as other devices to respond to water and connectivity issues. I found that difference to be minimal, if there was one at all. I learned in my research that these battery-operated water-leak detectors do not stay connected to the Wi-Fi network all day; instead they communicate data on the Wi-Fi at certain times during the course of the day (my eero mesh network app shows when each device was last connected to our Wi-Fi network). This resideo can be set to update temperature and humidity readings (by connection to the Wi-Fi) up to three times/day, which is how I set it up (the battery’s life decreases with additional updates, I presume; but, that does not matter much to me). The resideo checked more boxes for me than any other device. A couple of the more popular devices in this space would not even connect to my Wi-Fi, and I was not interested in making changes to my Wi-Fi to accommodate this small piece of equipment when other brands (including the resideo) easily connected to my network.

This product is awesome. I’m using this water leak detection device in a location that is hard to access. So now I don’t have to worry anymore because I can just check it on my phone. Peace of mind from having a water leak is worth it.

Easy to install and use. Provides quick notifications of issue.

I used this for a 6 month period last year while I was out of town and was thrilled with the product. I received notifications giving me the temperature in the basement (where the detector was located) as well as the humidity. Importantly, having a wifi-enabled detector met the requirements of my home insurance.

Initial connection took a few minutes but was a pretty seemless process. These struggle to hold a wifi connection and would disconnect. When re-connecting, the sensor and the app would get confused and struggle to reconnect; I had to restart my app several times. These devices will beep loudly at random times that do not seem to correlate to problems. The idea of knowing that there is/isnt a leak is great; the tech here gets close to that but just like fire alarms going off in the middle of the night is annoying... so is this.

The units work great (until one died completely). The shortcoming is that you can't get real time data but only info once/twice/three times daily. And no updates if it falls outside of set ranges until the issue is resolved. Fortunately have not needed the leak detection yet.

Peace of mind. Best money I have spent in a long time. Having sewer line issues, I placed this close to the floor drain as an early warning device. I has reliably alerted me in real time (both audio and via phone alerts). Let it dry out it automatically resets. Very helpful device

Easy set-up, reasonable price. Mounted it on a floor joist in the lowest part of my crawlspace with the detector cord resting on the floor.

When setting up each device I had to go out of the app and then sign back in. Also, I put one device below my water heater but it kept signalling a temp warning when the tank was reheating so I moved the device 3 feet away and no more false alarms.

Easy to set up leak sensors, and get them to run inside Presidio App...for whatever reason, I cannot get Presidio and Google Home to play nicely (this doesn't communicate with Google Home)

Perfect device, set it and forget it knowing that if problems occur, it will tell you. It's an extra bit of "peace of mind" for an area of my home I seldom enter.

Resideo asked for this review. Bottom line: Did not work as anything beyond a local alarm. No notifications on phone, email, anywhere, ever. Decent Wifi. Batteries new and good.

Ever since this service became Resideo, we have had a never ending series of false reports of low battery or devises off line. The last straw just happened when I was asked to rate the product and write a review. This required a nickname . I tried roughly 10 different nicknames. All were rejected ostensibly because each was taken. Impossible. I can only conclude the app will not permit filing a negative report. Wow. Just terrible.

Purchased the Leak Detector after our water heater had a leak in our basement that wasn't detected for several days. Nice to have an app that will alert when I'm traveling. Also updates the humidity level in the basement. Definitely recommended!

Easy setup and I know the Honeywell name so its a great product?

Works great and have had no problems. Have piece of mind now knowing I'll get alerted to water leaks.
