Excellent product to use on compressors that have two airlines to completely shut off the second line. My second line is for a larger 1/2 " hose which I will not use that often.

The part was easy to install, and worked as it should. This was installed on a portable air tank.

The valve is easy to open and close and does not leak when in the closed position. The male threads came with a sealant on them that made installation very easy.

        Cheap metal
I have the 60 gal husky compressor. Tried to install this valve on the side port and it split at the threads on the exhaust (exit) side of the valve with moderate pressure from the wrench. Thought it was defective so I returned the valve and got another valve package. This one split on the input side! Again with only moderate pressure on the wrench. Looking closer at the valve it is obviously made of inferior metal, what appear to be voids in the brass at the break and slag still present on the casting and just painted over. I WOULD NOT recommend this product

This is the main supply valve for my new air compressor. Seems to be a good valve at a good price.

          Bad Valve
Great service from Home Depot but the threads split wide open on the ball valve before it was fully tightened.

          good product
The ball valve was easy to install, just tape the threads and screw the valve on and tighten it.

          Shut-Off Kit
Having recently purchased a replacement Husky compressor, I needed a valve kit to install. I found that the 3/4" & 3/8" adapters were not needed for my installation so I cannot comment on the quality of the threads or ease of installation of these items. I used a brass 90 degree M/F fitting to angle the air feed downward. I found, by doing this, that there is less strain on the hoses & fittings thus prolonging the snap-in fitting life. The only portion of this kit that I did use was the valve which worked fine & had no thread galling/installation issues. I'd comment by saying that this "universal" kit is a good starter but is lacking in anything better than "average". If this kit were to pre-coat the fittings with sealant or include sealant, then its rating would be above average. If this were installed on most vertical air compressor tanks, then this vit would be horizontal .... not vertical.

          Doesn't fit my Husky compressor!
I own a 20 gallon, 1.8 HP Husky compressor, bought from Home Depot, which I carry in my work van to do automotive work. When the air hose is hooked up the tank pressure drops faster, so a ball valve at the outlet makes sense. This Husky valve, bought in the same section, next to the compressors, doesn't fit! I had to return it for a refund, and bought what looks like a better built part, in the plumbing section, for less money. It was also a direct fit, didn't require any adapters like provided in the Husky part, which didn't work anyway.

          Bad pipe threads in valve
Valve seals ok, no air leaks. Used new pipe nipples to install my regulator and dryer after the valve and had a hard time sealing the threads on the output of the valve.
