A bit challenging to install because of limited space in the existing switch conduit box. After making some needed changes to the pigtails, I was able to install the switch with no issues. The unit has been working fine after a couple of false starts in programming. The instructions are complete but could be improved a bit to provide better direction when programming the dusk / dawn settings. Overall though, I'm happy with this unit and it's been working effectively to control our outdoor lighting.

I like the quality and flexibility of this timer switch. The only improvement I could ask for would be a backlit screen. Otherwise, seems like a versatile, quality item. The relay in each switch does click fairly loudly, so if you want a silent switch, this is NOT A SILENT SWITCH.

I have only had it installed a few days. It was difficult to understand the instructions to program it and in the end we called the company for instructions. The digital display is not very bold and it is hard to see the numbers. I think there is a delay once you press the switch because i tried to turn the light off and then immediately on again and it did not work unless I waited a few secs.

Timer was relatively easy to install and program. It has been operating without incident for three weeks. We purchased this particular model because it does not require a neutral wire. It has a backup battery so it will not need to be reset if the electricity goes off.

Installed it myself. Replaced a version that wasnot the astronomical. I love this one and it has a battery backup.

I have only had this timer switch for a couple of weeks and it seems to work well. I do not use multiple programs but the dusk to dawn setting was easy and fits my needs.

The product performs "as advertised", once the setup and programming is figured out.

I ordered 3 of these timers from Home Depot, I had been wanting to purchase the 3 timers for awhile but had to wait until I could fit the purchase into my monthly budget due to being on Social Security disability. I was disappointed after they arrived due to the fact that the manufacture dates on the timer boxes were listed as being made in 2009. My 1st clue that the timers were old was the fact that the timer boxes or included literature didn't mention that they were LED compatible. The lithium battery that comes with each timer has a 2 year expiration date, and I received these timers 8 years after they were made. I contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed the timers were made 8 years ago, they blamed Home Depot for letting them sit on their distribution center shelves too long. The manufacturer representative did inform me that the timers I received were LED compatible even though it didn't indicate that they were with the outdated packaging and included literature. They understood my concern over the 8 year old lithium batteries and why I would be returning them to Home Depot. When I contacted the Home Depot customer service department for online orders, they stated that the 3 timers were shipped directly from the manufacturer. I was informed that I could ship them back or return them to my local store for a refund. The customer service representative didn't even apologize to me for receiving old/outdated merchandise and they didn't even offer to give me any discounts when I was ready to reorder 3 new timers. They only suggested that when I was ready to reorder, that I order over the phone so the next customer service representative could add notes to the order to make sure I would receive brand new/recently manufactured timers. I returned the timers to my local Home Depot store, I hope to eventually purchase 3 new timers at a later date.

Great product and works as intended. I set it up and placed the unit on auto. It turns the lights in front of the house on and off. I love it, in fact I am getting another

I'd used a prior version of this timer which was fatally flawed - the logic connections internally would degrade over time and it would fail. This re-design looks almost perfect. It uses a very long life lithium battery and the switch mechanism uses a high quality micro-switch and a magnetically latching solenoid - low power, reliable and rugged. The build and design look good and it seems to keep good time - the operation is completely independent of input power - one of mine is used off-grid completely. The application for three-way switching is different from traditional mechanical switches, but good for most all cases, except very long runs or more than two switches. If you have these cases, look at the details from Intermatic before committing.

Easy to install with usual electrical tools. Very large and requires lots of space in junction box. Recommend watching you tube video. Programming is very confusing, but doable when programming done before installing as recommended. Changing a program once it's in the wall, using its tiny screen to follow what you're trying to do is very challenging. I'd rate a 5 on all counts if it weren't so complicated to program. Can order through manufacturer's website for almost exactly twice the price paid at Home Depot, and they charge for shipping.

Only hard part of installation was programming on and off times at first. Once you realize that program #1 is the on time and program #2 is the off time it is easy!

Difficult to program but definitely a great product

Installation is simple and easy and takes no more than 10-15 minutes but programming sucks. The instructions are difficult and somewhat misleading. If you wish to custom program the timer the 'ON" time is Zone 1 and 'OFF' time is Zone 2. The technical support was excellent and able to guide me thru the programming process in 2 minutes. Overall the product is good.

My 8-year old Intermatic unit bit the dust and I replaced it with this one. The old one did not self adjust for daylight-savings-time but this one does. Nice!!

I bought this product 10 years ago. Needed same timer in a different house. Product set buttons and on/off button improved

This was a little confusing to program but it works well after setting it up.

These installed and worked as described and functioning exactly as we wanted.

Eazy to install and even easier to program. I had 10 year old timer that didn't work with LED bulbs and was very complicated, but I had out smarted by changing the clock rather than all 7 programs, the time was wrong most of the time. Work with all types of bulbs.

The digital timer is not easy to use/program to exact time you need, but the product works well when the accurate time is successfully determined. Easy to install.

Got tired of turning my front porch lights off and on at dusk and dawn so I did a little research and found this product at Home Depot.com. After taking the time to fully read and understand the instructions, I had this unit programmed and installed in no time. Only three wires to hook up:load, line, and ground. No neutral connection needed. Turns my lights on at dusk per our time zone and off at dawn. It has a feature that compensates for dawn and dusk times in the US and you don't have to make any time change adjustments after the unit is programmed. I only installed it two weeks ago but I'm really happy with the performance. I wish I could have picked it up out of normal store stock but it arrived fairly quickly with the ship to store option.

Easy to read installation instructions,easy to configure timer. The only negative point is the buttons are hard to use unless you have small fingers but I guess this keeps the overall size nice and small. Works with LED lights with no problems, as advertised. Intermatic makes solid products.

I'm handy, but a novice with anything electrical. After reading the instructions I decided it sounded straightforward and I'd give it a try instead of hiring a handyman. It took about 5 mins to program, about 10 to install and is turning on/off. I'll update in a week or so with how it's actually running.

It was easy to install amd program. Works like advertised.

Timer was simple and straightforward to install and program. I have several controlling all of my outdoor lights and they have worked flawlessly. I've tried the cheaper versions and took them out and installed these instead.

My home builder placed my front porch light switch in the garage (go figure), so I have to open the garage door to illuminate the porch! So, this timer turns on my front porch lights in the morning and the evening. Works like a charm. Programmable and adjusts itself according to the season. Dawn come later? No problem. Dusk comes earlier? No problem. Self adjusting and flawless.
