Dryer sensor is awful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could rate this a zero star I would. The dryer sensor is garbage. I can’t dry a full load properly without it prematurely shutting off. It takes me a whole day to do a load of laundry as a busy working mom. Tried all the troubleshooting I could find on the web. So frustrating.

    Never fully dries cltobes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend this dryer unless you like your clothes to smell wet. Ive waited 4 hours and used many cycles yet somehow my clothes are still wet. This "ai" used to dry my clothes almost always fails me and leaves me with stinky clothes. I do not recommend

Hi there. We realize how important a quick dry is to your laundry routine! If your dryer is taking too long to dry, it's likely due to a blockage to your dryer's airflow. Airflow blockages can be caused by an obstruction in the ductwork or lint build-up on your air filter. Please try the steps in the following link for help: http://spr.ly/6424bGH7A. If these don't result in a resolution, we're available to have a closer look! Please send us a private message on social media (@LGUSSupport) with your phone, model, & serial numbers. Savings $ with new technology.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Learning to love the new technology of the ventless dryer. It is gentle on the fabric and easy on the energy bill.

      Would not recommend this dryer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would not recommend. Takes 3+ hours to dry, typically needs more than one cycle. Slow and not efficient. The worse part is the lint trap which will catch anything with a drawstring and twist it until it destroys your clothes.

Hi there Grace, thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. If your LG dryer is taking too long to dry your clothes or your dryer is not heating properly this is likely due to a blockage to the dryer's airflow, which will make dry times longer than normal. Airflow blockages can be caused by an obstruction in the duct work or lint build-up on your air filter. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us on social media using the handle @LGUSSupport with the serial/model number and a good contact number so that we can assist you further. ~Tanisha

        very energy efficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with it. Very quiet and enjoy the status I get from the dryer on my cellphone. The real winner with this dryer is that you save two ways. It recycles the air in the dryer rather than inefficiently blowing heated air outside. Will also save on my fuel oil bill since I am no longer be sucking in cold air to replace the air normally blown outside (only to be reheated by my furnace in the process).

        Our New LG DLHC1455W Washer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this almost one year ago. It's really an amazing product. We love it. It also saves us a lot of money on our energy cost. We had Solar installed just before our purchase and have gone all electric. No more gas appliances. It works as advertised. We highly reccomend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this set. Perfect size for one person. I like that the dryer is ventless. Wish it was easier to find the pedestals incase I have to split them up.

          Absolutely useless.
I have a small closet in my new house for the washer and dryer, so I had to buy this compact size. I am so disappointed with this purchase, and wish I could return them. The washing machine is OK, just very small. But the dryer is useless. I don’t even use it. All of the reviews I read before purchasing mentioned that it took a little bit longer time than a traditional dryer. This is absolutely misleading. Because Australia is a ventless, it has to continually re-circulate the same air. I have never had clothes get dry in this dryer. Two bath towels, more than three hours, and they were still damp. Five T-shirts, more than five hours later, they were still damp. I had the washing machine set to spin the highest cycle, so that I get as much moisture as possible out of the clothes, but it does not matter. I recently had a repairman out to look at the units, and he did not find anything wrong with the dryer, or the washer. but the dryer is an absolute waste of money. I would not recommend it to anyone. It is just taking up space in my cabinet. Very, very, very disappointing.

Love the compact size however it takes 3-4 times the drying time. My solution is to get it partially dried and then remove it to a drying rack. Since it’s a condo and vacation home, it will have to do. I still am unable to link it to the app thru wifi.

          Best ventless
Purchased approximately 1 month ago and couldn’t be more pleased. My experience with a competitors ventless dryer was less than desirable. My new LG Thin Q dual heat pump is performing better than expected. I believe the secret is to directly install the condensate hose directly into the drain. Clothes dry quickly.

          Small but capable
I finally got this little dryer installed and stacked on the washer. It's surprisingly very roomy inside and I love that it has real lint trap. It works well for an electric but, yes, it does take hours to fully dry....so even if a full load fits....it's better to just dry half the load at a time. Not too load and doesn't shake like the washer. Got it at a great I price and it was worth it for the convenience.

          So happy with this purchase
We have had this a month now really glad we made the purchase. It’s not only nice to look at but works so efficiently. Super quiet. We don’t even know it’s on unless we walk up to it. It’s difficult to find a quality set that will fit in our condo but this one fit perfectly.

Solid built and full of features
Small house or apartment and want to save space, well you have found the perfect dryer. This LG 4.2 cu.ft. stack able compact ventless dryer is so full of features it will amaze you. Now while it is made and comes with the hardware to stack the dryer on top of the washer it can be used on its own. The user manual is the best, everything you need to know is there. This unit can be used wireless via the LGThinQ Application. You can add the drain line or use the a pull out tank to drain water. Its always best to get a qualified electrician to install the wiring. 5 star on this great product

          Great dryer
I needed a compact dryer for my new house and so happy that I went with the LG ventless and the accompanying washer. So quiet! Takes a bit longer but not a big deal. Set it and forget it.

Works Fine, cannot find replacement lint filter
I bought this dryer in June 2021. It takes a long time to dry clothes, but works fine. Sometimes with mixed loads, the towels will come out moist. Towels should be dried separately on the towel setting. There are two lint filters which must be cleaned between each cycle. I have not been able to find replacement filters. This concerns me as eventually these filters will wear out or become damaged.

              Love the Energy Savings
I've used this LG Electric Dryer with Dual Inverter Heat Pump Technology for about two weeks. First, this dryer looks amazing. The buttons, knob, and display are all very nice. After using it in my home I've decided to move it to our river front vacation home. I was able to monitor electric usage while this was at our main home. The savings is significant but I like to power through my laundry. With this dryer, I had two washed loads waiting while the first load was still drying. This dryer does a great job but it takes time. I recommend this dryer but only to people that do a load here and there.

Hubby says "it's magical!" Very quiet, efficient, small, and easy on our clothes.
My hubby told me about this dryer before it was even available at HD - he was excited by the idea of a super high-efficiency ventless electric dryer to replace our older, larger dryer and be able to close off the vent. We live in an area with cold winters, so we try to minimize heat loss areas such as vents. Now that we have the dryer of his dreams, we are not disappointed (he says it’s magical). It is remarkably quiet and much smaller than our previous dryer. Note that if you don’t install a drain, you will have to empty the reservoir (but we think it’s kinda cool to see how much water this little dryer pulled out of our clothes). I love how many settings it has, including the fact that it dries clothes really well on low temperature - which should help our clothes and linens last longer. I also appreciate that it rotates clothes after a cycle is finished so you don’t have to use the old-style wrinkle release. The automatic setting takes about two hours. Some moisture is released, so where I have this installed in a laundry closet, I keep one closet door cracker to allow the moisture to escape.

              Perfect for Apartment Living!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased LG's compact heat pump dryer in graphite steel and a matching washer. It matches perfectly with my other stainless steel products. I LOVE this dryer! I am so HAPPY with it. I live in an apartment, so I needed something small, clean, and pretty; something that will make living more comfortable, not less comfortable. I used to have a dryer with a vent; the vent was placed in the window. It was very dusty, dirty and gross! It was so not appropriate for a kitchen! THIS DRYER, however, is SUPER CLEAN! NO DUST! NO VENT! I LOVE IT! And I noticed, my clothes come out so much softer then my old dryer. I did plenty of research before making a purchase and compared different ventless dryers. Heat pump dryers are more gentle on clothing than all other dryers overall. It does take a little bit longer to do laundry, but not that big of a difference. I keep it on the energy saver program which is supposed to take longer, but it really isn't bad at all. We have a household of 3 people and we do a lot of laundry. It is not a problem. On the down side, the matching washer is small, so I can't wash my large queen size blanket in there; I would have to take it out to get washed. It's a trade off. Small space, small washer and dryer. The machine is pretty quiet and sings a pretty little tune when the clothes are dry. When the clothes are dry, you have to remember to empty the water tray and filter. Overall, I am so happy and grateful that LG has created this lovely little model. Thank you LG! :)

                Ventless, Quiet, easy to use
The LG Graphite Steel Dual Inverter HeatPump Technology dryer works quite well. It is quiet. I bought this dryer because it is ventless. The laundry room in our Florida house is located in the middle of the house. The dryer vent goes up an interior wall, into the attic, has a bend, another bend, and eventually through our concrete tile roof. The lint from our previous regular vented electric dryer required the vent duct to be cleaned frequently. The LG dryer does take longer to dry clothes; sometimes much longer. The clothes come out of the dryer warm and feeling a bit damp. However, by the time the clothes cool down to room temperature, they are dry. Another plus to this dryer is that the clothes do not get very hot. This is much gentler to the clothes. So much so that my wife now uses the dryer for some of her more delicate clothes rather than hanging them up to dry. One caveat, at the time of this review we have only owned the dryer for a few weeks. Hopefully it will continue to work well for many years.

Dryer takes about 30% longer than the gas dryer it replaced (120 minutes for a small load with about 2/5 cups of water extracted), but its supposed to use a lot let total energy. Its a good match for the compact washer (see comparisons of old dryer and new dryer with the same washer. It gets slightly warm to the touch on the top, but doesn't heat the room as much as the gas unit plus it doesn't need a vent. Emptying the water is easy. I'll need more experience with larger loads to know whether it can handle two large loads before being emptying. Operation is fairly quite but you do hear the drum tumbling, again about the same as a regular washer.. Only real downside is about once a year the intake vent at the lower back (see picture) should be cleaned which will involve pulling the dryer out and using the vacuum. The dryer runs for about a minute to determine how much water, and thus time it thinks it will take.

First let me start off by saying that I am totally amazed on how good this dryer works , I seriously did not expect it to dry as well as it did because I’m so used to using a gas dryer. I tried putting a hefty load of towels and it dried them without any problems. Also the steam feature on this thing is really great it actually works. I’m not gonna lie I was a little hesitant that it wasn’t gonna work out good as it does … it is really a great dryer. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind before purchasing one of these. You’re going to need a 240 V socket so that means you’re gonna need to have an electrician add a new line because this dryer takes so much voltage . If you already have one set up in your house cool , but if you don’t you can definitely talk to the people at Home Depot because they have installation teams that will help you take care of any issues you might have. I’m impressed especially since it’s so small and you can also stack this thing on top of its counterpart washer. It fits in tight spaces for those of you that don’t have a lot of room to keep a regular full size washer and dryer. One great dryer.

The LG Electronics 4.2 cu. ft. Compact Front Load White Electric Dryer with Dual Inverter HeatPump Technology arrived with the drain hose and stacking kit if you wish to stack the dryer on top of the matching washer. The power cord required is a 240 VAC 4 wire appliance cord, which is easy to install. This dryer extracts the moisture and recycles it for more energy-efficient drying process required a little longer than I was expecting to dry. It has a water container in which the condensed water is collected. The water container should be emptied after every use and is on the left front top of the dryer and should be empty it after each use. The water can also be drained out directly through an optional drain hose which is included with the dryer. The LG ThinQ Application runs on 2.4 GHz and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The App can be used to energy monitor, remote start, and smart diagnosis function. Very nice dryer that I recommend for use.

DO NOT BUY! Not worth the price and hassle.
DO NOT BUY! It will stop working properly within a few months. It's a high-maintenance machine, and all the agents will say to "help" is that it may be this because you are not doing that. Others have commented on a manufacturing issue with this machine, including condensation in the lint catcher that must be dry to work properly. The price tag, high maintenance, and lag of help on issues are not worth the price you will pay for your time, effort, and waste of money.
