Needed for washer outlet in finished laundry room.
Needed to reconfigure Gfci outlet for washer in finished laundry room in combination with an Afci breaker due to tripping issues. Replaced breaker with a 20 amp standard breaker and Gfci outlet with a 20 amp Gfci/Afci. Tripping issue has been remedied, however i found some paint on the ground wire that might have contributed to the problem.

Saves Money
A combination breaker for my panel costs costs about $60. This combination outlet and a stancard breaker cost less than $40. You just need to be sure it is installed properly in the first outlet box from the panel.

It's difficult to plug plugs into it. You have to rock plugs horizontally to get them in. I'm guessing it has something to do with the AFCI technology. Also, the wiring was the reverse of my GFCI outlet that I replaced. On a positive note, it has a diagnostic LED and white buttons.

Thank you for your purchase and review. Leviton values your business. The receptacle’s tamper resistant mechanism is designed to prevent foreign objects from being inserted into the outlets. Repeated plug insertion will help “condition” the mechanism. We are glad that you noticed the reversal of the wiring of the device that you replaced. Solves 2016 house problem
Our 2016 house was built before the more expansive NEC, so these receptacles allowed us to easily add AFCI/GFCI protection to our main rooms. Easy to install; do ensure the electrical box is sufficiently deep. Self-grounding tab support. Clean all white color. Does not seem overly sensitive to arcing vacuums, etc.
