We're sorry to hear about your experience with your dimmer not dimming your lights enough. The MA-R does not control the dimming of the lights and works more like a remote for the master dimmer. Depending on the master dimmer being used you may have the option to adjust the low end settings for the dimmer which would increase the dimming range. If you're using the MACL-153M as the master dimmer you can use step 8 of the included guide to adjust the low end trim of the dimmer: https://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/0301629b.pdf
We also suggest making sure your dimmable LED has been tested and approved by Lutron. We have a mobile-friendly web tool to help you select bulbs that perform well with Lutron dimmers. To use the tool please visit lutron.com/ledfinder.

This switch/dimmer does NOT work on its own!!!
You spend $25 for a dimmer/switch, like this one, and it will NOT work on its own. This company wants you to spend $45 on Maestro master dimmer and then you can spend more money on their products....the next dimmer can be $25 model.... ONLY if it works with the Maestro Master dimmer.. WHAT A CONFUSING line of products.... ANNOYING... now I have to return this unit as it cannot work as an independent dimmer/switch... BOOO LUTRON... BOOOO

Bought it to replace the same dimmer our electrician thinks...
Bought it to replace the same dimmer our electrician thinks had gone bad. Have the electrician back out to install new dimmer and upon opening the box see that the dimmer was used and returned.
Pretty sad that Home Depot would not check before putting a return back on the shelf. Obviously a huge waste of time and money. Have not had a chance to return and confront Home Depot manager yet.
