I understand to package three different cheap clips for the different types of cartridges makes sense from the supplier and bottom line standpoint. But from the customer standpoint, I need only one clip and without the 4000% markup. $6.50 for three cheap clips was disappointing.

The 179107 Moen Cartridge Clip Replacement Kit includes clips for the 1200, 1225, and 1222 cartridges. The cartridges will need to be fully inserted for the clip to install properly. For the 1200 and 1225, the tabs on the cartridge will need to line up evenly with the slots on the valve body so the clip can slide over the tabs. Ok I say this is bullcrap. You buy a new valve for your shower @ 54.00 and you don't get a new clip ? You have to buy a package for 5-6 dollars that has two clips you don't need because something happened to the 12 yr old clip you had !! Now you have 2 clips you don't need!! Ridiculous
