I wanted to install a grab bar next to my toilet in preparation for upcoming knee surgery. This product is quite hefty and should have provided more than adequate support when screwed into a stud. It was bigger than I anticipated (internet order) and didn’t fit my limited space well. I was also disappointed in the quality of the “Peened” surface that looked and felt cheap. I returned the item and bought a 9 inch grab bar which better suits my needs.

Have not had it long, a few weeks, in the guest bathroom, so hasnt been put to the test, but it feels very sturdy and looks good. Plumber installed it with no problems.

White bar paint had a very small scratch through the paint. The white matches the bathroom very nicely, allowing the bar to not be as pronounced as a stainless one. The bar is smooth without the grip surface on the stainless, so that may be a factor for some people. Drill all your holes prior to starting the mount because the close proximity of the holes. Your drill chuck may contact the bar scuffing the paint
