10 minute install time, no issues. Works great , the mulch guard BOGS down and clogs up the mower when you are mowing really tall grass , but you shouldn’t be trying to mulch grass that tall anyways. I just pop the cover off and let it discharge in those situations . It takes about 30 seconds to take the cover off and put it back on. Anyways it’s worth the money . ENJOY

The order was easy to place. It arrived when it was supposed to. The price was fare.

In my previous review I stated that it leaked grass around plug. this was due to the fact that I thought I could use this with the discharge chute removed, I reinstalled the chute to experiment and that stopped the leaking grass. I may look into some modification as part of what I was hoping to accomplish with this kit was to run the machine with the chute removed to get close to obstacles on either side of deck.

Installed this on a craftsman t240, no issues installing kit, the plug and blades seem to fit as they should. I don't let my grass get too high, but so far the cut is very good and it leaves no signs of clipping on the lawn. I knocked a star off because it does leak clippings from around the deck plug until it packs in the gaps. I did however remove the discharge chute after install so i could cut close on both sides of the mower deck, and it may be the chute may have held the plug in place tighter. I may reinstall chute to experiment with my theory. if you have a newer craftsman, cub cadet, troy bilt, or any other mtd built with a 46" deck, this is a identical and more frugal " about $40 less" option than name branded kits

Fit as expected

As advertised. Easy to install. Does the job.

I could not recommend this product because it did not fit. After searching for a mulch kit for a Craftsman riding mower, 2012 YT 3000, this product kept coming up as a solution. I ordered and it came in quickly. After removing the cutting deck to install the blades, problem #1 came to light. My mower has a 5 point mounting stem, and the blade has 6. After reinstalling the deck, problem #2 became apparent with the mulch cover that didn't come close to what would be required. In fairness, this is likely a good kit, but clearly is not intended for my Craftsman mower.

Mulch kit fit perfectly

Shipping was fast, even through the holidays. We needed a mulching kit for our 46in Troy-bilt mower. It works great & installation was easy. I recommend this over buying straight from the manufacturer and spending$50 more.

Well pleased. As expected

I'm going to give a 5 star rating even though i haven't actually used it, because well, it's blades. All of the other mulching blades I have used over the years have done exactly that, mulched. Just go a little slower.Happy mowing!

Does a really nice job

In spite of some reviews that state that this kit doesn't work I will have to dispute that. I find the mulch kit does an excellent job mulching grass clippings. Perhaps the dissatisfied users have put the blades on backward. As far as the boot that keeps the grass under the deck, it fits perfictly and was very easy to install. I am using this kit under a Troy Built Horse 46 inch mower with the V twin motor. Very happy with the purchase.

It didn't even fit in the chute

I've already recommended this to my friends. I have a craftsman T1700 46" and it fit like a glove. A SMALL amount of grass does make it's way into the seams, but it's a very small amount indeed. The plug plugs, the blades cut and I dont have to empty bags ... what more is there to say.

Mulch kit works great, it’s even quitter.
