Bought this tool to help with a few siding projects. Works like it’s supposed to when on occasion a piece won’t go on and we are high upon our ladders. Haven’t had to use it to remove any .

Works fine! Great tool. Added an outside vent for the microwave vent fan over the stove. Outside hood had a mounting flange which didn't match up with the vinyl siding - make filler pieces? This tool allowed me to remove one strip of vinyl siding and mount the outside vent to the wood siding. The vinyl was then cut to fit around the hood, locked into the lower strip, then nailed in place. This tool also allowed me to re-lock the upper strip to the lower strip. It's not only a removal tool, but also the reinstall tool!

Does what it’s designed to do. Good to have in the toolbox arsenal if needed.

The lip to catch the edge of the siding is too big which makes it difficult to remove from under the siding. I returned it.

Did not help at all. Actually ripped up the inside lip of the siding. Would NOT recommend!

Great too - definite need for aluminum siding especially older, thicker gauge product. This hooks on well and easy to maneuver left and right. Can be tricky to pull out and don't pull down too hard or you will distort/bend the J channel.

Practical to use it.

It did exactly what I needed. Not too big or small can easily fit in your pocket when you are not using it.

needed to remove some siding, so I picked this tool up after watching a youtube video. It worked fine, but takes a little practice and umpf to get it into place. I was able to unzip the siding and replace it. the tool helps in re-securing the siding.

I have some new vinyl siding (less than two years old) and it looks great except for one, small problem. My grandson was playing soccer and pinned the ball into the bottom piece by my side door. It broke off about a 6" piece of the corner and left the house wrap exposed. It isn't a major issue but my wife hates how it looked, especially where it is there where everyone can see it as they walk in. I called a few carpenters/ siding professionals and got some quotes. I was shocked! It is only one piece of siding (which I already have on hand as I had some extras after the original siding work was done). The cheapest estimate I got was over $100 dollars! Of course they said that was because it would take some 'special' effort to get the broken piece out and there was a chance that the piece above it could break, etc. I went online to see just how hard it was to replace a piece of vinyl siding and was amazed at how simple a process it was! Especially when I found out about this handy tool provided by the Malco Company! I did a quick web search to see where I could obtain this tool and found that Home Depot carries it as a regular item. A quick 10 minute trip to my local Home Depot, I picked up the tool and within the hour my broken vinyl siding was fixed as good as new! If you have some minor vinyl siding repair projects that you need to tackle I highly recommend this tool be added to your tool box!

Siding removal tool was purchased as a replacement for one that I had misplaced. The tool works fairly well. Older vinyl siding can crack more easily when being removed so be careful when using the tool on older siding.
