The button to turn on & off broke and rendered useless.

Way too sensitive. It can pick up the wire within 2-3 inches. So you never know which wire is really hot if you’re testing a switch or outlet. And you can’t change the sensitivity like you can on other testers. Disappointed in Milwaukee for this one. Gonna stick with Klein

Very good item, one of the features that I like is the light at the tip of the tester.

Does the job, would be nice if it had a small screen to show volts/amps

Have several different types. This does more. It has a flashlight also

I do remodel and repair work so I change light fixtures and outlets/switches on almost a daily basis . I've had this MLWKE non contact tester a while no and it works great never had any issue . I've had other brands that have stupid problems like they don't work upside down . Not this one always works great only issue i have had , and the reason it only got 4 stars from me , is its a little too sensitive .

Worked a few weeks. Stop working

Milwaukee makes good tools for the most part, but this ain't one of them! Seems like the button failed on me, I hardly use this thing. One minute it works next minute I don't. Milwaukee needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

This voltage detector is a dangerous tool! Shows low voltage on neutral and ground holes. Same time shows nothing on hot hole! Voltage detector should be 100% correct, not 99,9 or less! Milwaukee need to replace these detector with something else

The yellow light is on on neutral hole,on ground hole, on the wall around the socket

Love milwaukee tools but I've had problems with this since I purchased it.Kept hearing a beeping in my toolbox,it would turn on and off by it self had to go with Klein

Plainly: it can't be trusted. On fresh out-of-box batteries, it flashes yellow while I'm standing in the middle of an empty room (indicating low voltage). When I touch it to my bluetooth mouse, it flashes RED to indicate high voltage (yikes!). It flashes red on wires that I know have no power to them. The only benefit is that I've never seen a false negative. Mostly I see lots of false positives that make me have to use a multimeter anyway. One star for the flashlight. That's nice.

One of the Best Electrical Tools

great tool easy & make fast diagnostic

Not worth buying it detects even when circuits are off. Not good for electrician maybe ok for homeowners. Don’t recommend this buy southwire, Klein, or fluke instead.
