Me and my guys never realized how much easier buffing would be with a buffer without a cord. They can get the job done faster and it's now easier.

Bought this to use on the aluminum on my semi truck. It works great to touch up already polished stuff but doesn't have the power to polish stuff that isnt shiny already. Not really impressed by the battery life as they claim you can buff an entire car with one charge. Dont think that's possible

Well the reason I bought this , I got tired of cords and gives you nothing but freedom. Came with 2 batteries and one fully charged battery can last you one car polish. The batteries charge very quickly with in 30 mins. Comes with 2 different style handles. I just love it !!!

I use this buffer almost every work day and I like it better than any corded buffer. But I do have to say, if you buff for a living, the 2 batteries it comes with won't keep up. I bought two more XC 5.0 batteries and another charger and they still don't keep up. Soo, I bought a 9.0 High Demand battery, and finally I can keep charging batteries and it finally keeps up with consistent buffing.

Absolutely love it! I went to the 2017 SEMA show in Las Vegas, and I looked for the Milwaukee booth but they didn't have one this year. I wanted to test one of these before I bought a couple. Thank goodness some of the reps for some of the compound companies had one, like Farecla,3D, Menzerna, for me check it out. They let me use it and I was sold. Haven't regretted for one second. We use them all day everyday.

Great polisher, but I’ve always been a big fan of Milwaukee M18 Fuel tools. This polisher is the same quality that I’ve come to expect from Milwaukee, works great for the car, or the boat. Great handling exceptional results. If your thinking about it don’t just buy it you’ll be glad you did.

Great tool but batteries don't last as long as they say
Great tool but batteries don't last as long as they say. I can buff one car on 3 battery charges. The tool itself is awesome, but for the price, it should come with a carrying case. Even my $225 Makita buffers came with carrying cases. I use my makita case for my Milwaukee buffer and that's just bad advertising.

      My new favorite toy.
Instantly became my favorite. My other polishers( Makita 9227, Hitachi) gets hot after a while, but this one doesn't. Instead, battery goes out so just need to switch and recharge. My other Milwaukee polishers (5540) are heavy, but this one is light so it doesn't hurt my arm as much after long hours of work. And it's a cordless, I have freedom to move around. Great tool. I will be getting more of this and batteries. The best polisher Ever!!!

This is a great kit. For everyone looking for 7" pads just get a 3m quick connect adaptor and their 6" pads they are 2 sided and work great. The best battery polishing system out there. I've been doing autobody 40 yrs and this is a great battery powered buffer. I have the 2 5.0 batteries and a new 9.0 a little heavier but last way longer. Its not to heavy like some say its lighter than most normal size electric buffers. This is a great high quality tool to have in your arsenal. You wont be dissapointed.

        Heavy polisher
I received this product in August but it arrived without a polishing pad(cloth) so I couldn't really use the product as a polisher. I did a few mock tests without the polishing cloth, because I figured they're not going to send me the pads even though I've requested from Milwaukee several times. It's now November 9th. So my rating is about the weight of the unit. It's too heavy to use for any length of time because my arms got sore trying to grip and control the polisher after only a few minutes. How it actually polishes is a mystery until I receive the pads.

        Fantastic, if cordless is necessary
        - Two batteries, charger - Two different handles, stick and "D" - Two dust screens - No plastic case nor carry bag - No pads I have a Wen corded, which is heavy as soon as you pick it up, and it just gets heavier -- but, it's very well balanced with only the motor as its main mass. This cordless Milwaukee feels just slightly off -- your support hand is over or beside the motor, but your trigger hand is just forward of the battery, the other weight point, which is also considerably lighter than the motor. Meaning, it's not perfect -- and it's not feather-light, either. You can slow the motor down with firm pressure, something I found on Milwaukee's 18v fuel angle grinder as well, but as with the angle grinder, your arms won't fall off nearly as fast as they will with any kind of heavy-duty corded. I don't believe the Wen was a whole lot of money, so if cordless and mostly light(er) is important, I'd get this, then if you need to put your weight into a section consistently, pick up something like the Wen. The lithiums charge so fast, if you work longer than Milwaukee expects and go through two batteries, your first battery should be charged up enough to at least finish the job by then. I suspect these are all worst-case scenarios, as you probably shouldn't lean into a polisher nor should you have to, but I tend to live worst case scenarios. Otherwise you should probably get advertised mileage. I've not played with other brands' 18/36v tools; I have used Milwaukee's 18v and 28v fuel SDS hammers -- the 10 extra volts makes the latter useful and perfect (even with an attached vacuum running off the same battery) -- but I can't see a 28v or even a 36v making a difference here, except for those infrequent times you want to lean in -- it might be dangerous overkill otherwise, so again, this will probably fit 99.9% of the needs of the fairly grimy planet.

        Great Speed Control
This variable speed polisher puts the variable in variable speed polisher. It has a dial on the handle that allows you a wide selection of speeds. But then it also has four different speeds actuated by how far you depress the trigger, allowing for even more variation in your variable speeds. On top of that, it comes with variable handles--you can use a straight handle, attachable at different points on the tool to allow you to hold it in different configurations. Or you can choose to attach a curved handle if that's more your speed. So many variables! Only a couple of issues I can find with this tool: 1. Home Depot offers very limited options for 7 inch buffing pads. I only found one at my local store, and two online. I think you have to go to an auto parts store to really get any variety. 2. It's a wee bit on the heavy side, so it could become a bit of a drag to use for extended periods.

Tool Saves On Elbow Grease On Car Waxing
This polisher first and foremost will save you plenty of elbow grease! It is fairly light weight and is about a foot and a half long in size. It fits firmly in your hands and only weighs a few pounds. It is made for both right and left handed people when you use the U shape mount on the top of the tool. It is mainly for right handed people with the edge grip (used on the right side). This product does not come with buffers or bonnets. I used a low end generic brand bonnet to wax not one, but three cars. The bonnets fit around the disc and held in place with a velcro like grip. With each car, I applied a thin coat of polishing wax after having washed them. Then I buffed it out with the tool. I always used the slowest speed possible for fear of over waxing the car's finish. The battery life is long enough to do a full car. You get two battery packs that take on a full charge in about 30 minutes. So you can easily do more than one car in a day if you have to. While buffing out the wax, I let the weight of the tool do all the work. I had it within my grip at all times, but did not have to use a bit of pressure while waxing the car. I went panel by panel on the car and let the machine do its thing. I primarily had the bonnet flat against the surface, but when curvatures in the car panels came up, I was able to maneuver it to polish it nicely using the side of the wheel. The 7 inch width is pretty good to work with too. It is not too small and not so large that you lose control of the device. You can go clockwise or counterclockwise with the movement. I would recommend doing both so that you never over wax or over swirl your vehicle. It also is not very loud. I was expecting something very noisy, but it is not. If you are like me, and have bum shoulders this is your device! I was able to quickly apply a light coat of wax in about 7-10 minutes time all over the car. Then I used the polisher and was done with about 25 more minutes work. So in 35 minutes, I had a freshly waxed car and did NOT have sore arms! In our household, we have three cars. I like to give them light coats of wax two times a year. Once in the late fall and once in the middle of spring (pending weather). It is a bit pricey, but that said, this polisher will pay for itself within little time if you are into waxing your own automobiles. And it is so incredibly easy! I did not lift the wax on any speed higher than that lowest possible setting. I did bump it up a notch when I was done to use on the windows. I let the wax residue on the bonnets do all the work. I did not apply any more wax. It came out nicely and streak free! I did not use this on anything other than cars. So I can not speak to anything you may want to polish other than that. I was very pleased with the outcome and dare I say, look forward to waxing my cars! It is no longer a chore.
