Great all in one kit

The bits are a real variety with the assortment you get. The adapter is magnetic so you don’t lose bits and is easily changeable. The case is awesome that I can store other bits inside.

SUMMARY: A WELCOME ADDITION TO MY 3/8 IN. DEEP SOCKET SET. BACKGROUND: I didn’t have a good 3/8” deep socket set. The 49-66-7024 set looked like a good general-purpose set. FIT AND FINISH: The same durable, easy to read markings as my other Milwaukee sets. FEATURES: From the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate. • Boldest, longest-lasting markings and extreme impact durability in high torque applications. The stamped and ink-filled size marking enables users to select the right socket every time throughout the life of the socket. o The markings are easy to see when new. Time will tell if dirt and grease makes it difficult. Size is only marked on one side. It would be nice if the size were marked around each socket. • Laser etched part number. o Handy if I ever need to replace one. • Engineered with high strength forged steel for optimized performance in heavy-duty applications. o I contacted Milwaukee technical support and asked : “What alloy is used for your impact rated sockets?” They replied: “this would be considered proprietary information, so not appropriate to share.” I find that a disappointing answer as I have been able to get alloy composition from other manufacturers in the past. • Dual-hole design and ring groove allow for easy socket attachment and removal. o The dual-hole design is slightly harder to remove than the internal recesses in some of my other sockets. But I’d rather have them a little harder to remove than too easy. • Customizable Socket Rail comes with removeable end caps to add or take off socket clips for optimal storage. o You can do it, but there isn’t room to add any sockets to the rail. • Meets ASME industry standards. o There are tons of standards, but Milwaukee doesn’t say which ones on the package or the product information page. • Kit includes 7 Deep SAE Sockets and 1 Socket Adapter. The following sizes are included: 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, ¾ sockets and a ¼ hex to 3/8 square drive Socket Adapter. o This fits most of my SAE needs. • Non-slip hex geometry to prevents socket and fastener rounding. o The radius relieved corners seem to be a common construction configuration now. o I did an test of the non-slip feature (see photos) and found that the socket will deform (crease) a grade 5 nut to such an extent that a standard socket will be slightly difficult to use. But it didn’t round it over. I believe this is because the radius relieved corners appear to be simple circular sections, leaving an edge between the flats and the reliefs. I seem to recall in years past that at least on other manufacturer had a slight blending between the two surfaces to avoid concentrating the force along an edge. The socket did not appear to suffer any damage. • Lifetime Guarantee covers impact sockets and extensions only. • Optimized for use with 3/8" drive impact wrenches, drivers, ratchets, and adapters. SUMMARY: A nice addition to my tool collection. PROS: Sturdy, durable CONS: Non-slip feature may deform softer nuts and bolts.

I was having trouble fixing my bike one day and I asked my father what the socket was called that was the exact same shape as the nut. "Six-point socket", he told me. "That's what I need", I said. So whenever I see a 6-point socket like these I think of him. This set has the most used sizes from 5/16" to 3/4". It comes in a tightly sealed blister-card you'll need a good sharp blade to open. I made a few strategic cuts so I can use it as a storage case because I obsess over tools being in a case of their own.I can't imagine where you'd want to nail home a 5/16" with an impact wrench, but there's one here. These are deep-well sockets providing reach and versatility. The sizes are marked in easily seen white ink. Included is an adapter for 1/4" hex to 3/8" square drive for using with the corresponding impact driver. The star of this show is the organizer the sockets are attached to. Far superior to other socket organizers I have seen. I searched to see if Milwaukee markets these socket organizers separately but currently didn't see any available. This would make a great gift for any DIYer.

The inclusion of the socket adapter means I can use these sockets with the powerful M12 Fuel Surge 1/4 inch impact driver - see video. The M12 ratchet and M18 1/2 inch impact gun got to have a go too. The excellent non-slip hex geometry means the sockets can still drive bolts with worn and damaged corners. The most obvious feature of these sockets is the large, clear etched and inked size markings. A great advantage to users in many circumstances. The rail is good quality and helps to ensure inventory control as it is so obvious when a socket is not on the rail.

If there’s anything a serious DIY needs around the garage and work shop, it’s a heavy duty, dependable set of sockets to fit the standard ⅜” drive tools. Therefore, I picked up a set of the Milwaukee 6-point SHOCKWAVE deep sockets to get my work done, when the standard SAE application is required. Whether working on my lawn mower, appliances, or my pickup truck, the 8-piece set is the way to go. With the 6-point impact sockets, there is no chance of slipping or stripping out a nut that is difficult to grab. The 6-point holds securely, every time. My two favorite tools when using this set are the Milwaukee M-18 impact wrench and the M-12 ratchet. And all the sockets have excellent size marking, clearly visible in low light, when needing to change sizes. The impact wrench is great for general work, and the impact ratchet can get into tighter places. And the most common metric sizes, from 5/16” to ¾", with the ⅜” driver attachment, if necessary. And the best part? Each set comes with its own ‘strip’ to keep them attached and together, so nothing gets lost! This set will tackle pretty much everything around my shop, and should last me a lifetime.

Well Milwaukee doesn’t it again, theses Milwaukee Shockwave 3/8 in are awesome. They are made solid and love the stamped and and ink filled sizes, no more stoping and looking for a certain size they stand out great. Really like the 6 point hex opening so will dramatically reduce rounding of nuts or fasteners, they came with a hand tray and clips for easy storage and with the holes on each end to mount to and work stations. Like the extra impact sockets adapter so if I want or need to use my impact driver I can just connect and use these sockets, and can also use with a ratchet driver also. These Milwaukee shockwave impact duty 3/8 SAE deep impact rated sockets are just a beast, they come in a set of 8 which includes the impact sockets adapter, wouldn’t expect anything less from Milwaukee.

I love the Milwaukee shockwave impact sockets they are very durable. The one thing that caught my eye right off the bat whn I got the socket set is the size markings I can see these markings with no trouble even in dim light. The markings are stamp and painted on. The set comes on a customizable rail where each piece is removable. This is a great set for anyone who has a impact tool and it even comes with a 1/4 inch adapter which is very good for the people who has the 1/4 impact tool. You just can not beat the quality of these Milwaukee tools.

I ordered three of these socket sets because since I have other Milwaukee products and have always been very satisfied with the quality I knew I would like these. They are very well made and sturdy. Also the sizes are clearly marked and easy to read. They are meant to be used with impact guns and drivers.. A tray is provided to store them in. I am using them on my farm machinery at present. They have a lifetime warranty.

There’s nothing negative at all to say about these sockets except that it would be nice if they went up one more size to 7/8 (then one would fit my lug nuts). But I already have multiple impact sockets tailored to that job including thin wall and one with a nylon sleeve so I can live w/o the lug nut sized one. It is ironic that one of the pics on the web page for these shows a 7/8 in use. But I knew that one was not part of the set. A better addition might be a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter but again I already have that covered. Still it would be a useful addition to the set since many impact wrenches are ½ in drive as are mine. It is a bit ironic that the web page says “Optimized for use with 1/2" drive impact wrenches” in the overview which I suspect is simply a typo. The sizes included are decent selection and I did see they have a 12 socket set that goes up to 1 inch and includes the 7/8 and has a hard case but it is out of stock at the moment. Both sets are nice. I like this set because I don’t have room in my big toolbox for another hard case. The stick holder these come with is very nice. It is much more than nice packaging and an afterthought. It is one you will want to actually use. I have the same holder with other Milwaukee socket sets and I like that it has a wide base making it stable enough they stay upright well and do not easily tip over when you grab one. I’ve not always kept the holders that come with sockets but these are keepers. The only thing I would change is maybe include a spare holder on the stick in case I want to go buy that 7/8 socket to add to the set and keep it on the same stick later. Just a thought Milwaukee. . Anyway, these are some very solid sockets and paired with a M18 impact wrench you can knock off stubborn fasteners with ease. The 6-point design is great for not slipping and the markings are bold, tough (deeply stamped) and clear even for my aging eyes. These have to easily be the best markings I’ve ever seen on a socket hands down. These are the perfect mates to the M18 impact wrench one of which I keep in the back of my jeep and one of which I keep handy in my shop. I might have to get that bigger set with the hard case to keep in my jeep for on the road stuff. You just cannot beat the quality of the Milwaukee sockets be it these or the non-impact ones. It’s good to have these rated for impact use when you hit something tough.

The first thing that caught my eye with these was the size markings. I can actually see these. They’re not just stamped, not just painted or etched, they are stamped and painted. You can easily see the clear bold marking of the sizes. This is going to make everything so much easier and faster. My eyes aren’t as good as they once were, but I can read these. These have two holes per socket for easily attaching or removing the pin detent type impact or the ring type. The fit is perfect on different fasteners. No sloppy, loose fit with these. The set comes on a customizable rail, where each piece is removable. These are great sets for keeping in your vehicle, as more people have seen the benefit of keeping an impact in their vehicle. It’s not a huge complete set, but it likely has the size you’ll need and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Perfect for that small tool bag too. The set does come with a ¼” adapter, which is handy due to the popularity of the ¼” impacts. The adapter is great for speeding things along, if and when the fastener has already been loosened or for running a fastener down. Don’t try breaking something loose with it, it’s a ¼”. Remember? There’s a lifetime guarantee on the sockets.

Kinda disappointed. I know... it's nothing to be upset about, but the nut for connecting attachments on the rear of the case isn't there. There is an obvious "mold edge" that means they removed it on purpose when making this run of cases, but if you look in the images on the site, it's clearly there... You don't really find that out until you open it unless you're really looking for that in particular... I wasn't because I just assumed it was going to be there...

This is a great little kit. I used it on a job immediately to mouth two large bike racks in a garage. This kit gives you a little of everything you need with the with the added bonus of being ShockWave impact.

I bought this set. Ive had it for about 6 months. After couples of months of light use, one of the tips from a philips impact driver bit broke. I was very disapoibted in the quality of the material used to make these bits. Ok for light work, DIY but thats it.

This is the most versatile collection and convenient package for quality driver bits I have found. I keep three complete sets on hand: one for a traveling tool kit, one by my work bench, and another in the rolling tool cheat for mechanical stuff along with other Milwaukee tools. Yes I bought these bits. No they did not give them to me. I genuinely love this assortment and the quality. So far, none have let me down, and I use them almost every day!

I purchased this a few days ago at home depot and used it with a Milwaukee impact driver trying to remove the rotor retaining screws on a car. Unfortunately 2 of bits (philips #3) were broken (picture attached) and the screws were still not moving. I contacted Milwaukee and they have NO warranty on the bits. Really disappointed on this product!!!
