no longer have to turn the sprinklers on and off! easy install, works great

Work for about a month, then would not turn on ( battery was fine, unit appeared fine) fiddled with the connection point for about an hour, thought I had it working again though the next morning it wouldn't shut off... The yard was a swamp... Sending it back for replacement... Maybe it's just a defective unit.

I bought this timer about 2 months ago and after hitting the manual button it stuck in the “on” postion and had to use a razor blade to pop the button back up. I left it alone for past 2 months and needed to adjust my water times and couldnt cause all the buttons were sticking. I replaced with another i bought today and while setting date and time the buttons All stuck in the down postion not even allowing me to set anything. Ill return again tomorrow.

Works well where no electric outlet is available. Would give 5 stars except they only last about 18 months. This is my 3rd one.

Timer failed in 5 months. changed batterys , even kept unit covered out of the elements . Epic fail !

Contrary to previous comments, that it is compatible to standard Orbit valves, it’s DC solenoid does not fit my new Orbit 2 valve manifold. So I have to return. My review does not reflect performance but for untrue claim.

Easy to use great product

Bought 2 neither one worked past 1 week

Fantastic irrigation valve. Installed 2 of them on a well water system and no issues. Very easy to install and use. The only issue I noticed was that without batteries the valves were in the open state. Not a real issue but just unusual, solenoid valves typically are closed when no power is present.

Somehow, I got lucky on this one. I had a old Solo actuator go bad after ten years. It was attached to a Nelson valve. I bought this as it was the most affordable option available. I was prepared to dig up and remove the valve but luckily, the Solo adapter fit this Orbit solenoid so no digging up the valve. Works great, will control up to four separate valves, has lots of time options where the Solo was very limited. Happy with my purchase and was quite a bit cheaper than the old actuator which is not made anymore.

I purchased this sprinkler with battery operated timer but when I set everything up, triple checked my work, the sprinkler didn’t work to my disappointment. It would have been a great product if it worked! Returning it today to Home Depot.

This is second one, Fitsy one died after being left outside during winter freezes, electronics don't like it. Take it out of holder and keep indoors over winter.

This unit work's very well, easy to setup.

the orbit battery powered time works as advertised and meets or exceeds my needs.it provides room for expansion.the only problem is lack of guarantee information and specs pertaining to the valve and solenoid. what is the voltage, what is the part number for the valveto expand the system.

It does what it’s supposed to do well. I have 3 valves set up and they do a good job. Easy to install and set up. This is my third one to replace due to water getting inside and ruining the timer and/or the housing. If water gets in, condensation will ruin the circuit board.

Did not work, once installed in system, set timer and does not work, even tried manually, did not work.

Easy to install and program instructions were good. Had to use a reducer for the 1.5" PVC to the 1" inlet/outlet.

It Work very good @ low price

Great for remote locations. Took a bit to get the 4 stations working on timer but well worth the effort. So far it has only been in use for two days. Would like to see the solar option and rain sensor become available for purchase.

the battery powered timer and valve worked like a charm. The timer was very easy to program.

I have two of these timers. One with two valves connected to it and one with three valves connected to it. Both timers bring the valves on at the scheduled time, but once the schedule is done, it immediately repeats the entire schedule. I have done all the suggestions in the manual but it still repeats the schedule.

Very easy to install and inexpensive

I purchased one valve to use on our ranch for food plot irrigation for wildlife. Installed on a one inch line with field irrigation heads. Worked. Bought another one to place on another food plot a month later. When I returned to the property I found that the valve that was installed had failed, and it had failed open. Now, there is a lot of pressure at the valve because of the elevation change between the well and the installation site. I do not know if this is the problem. Have not had time to call Orbit, but will do so. Other valve was installed in the second food plot. I will be back in a month to see how things are going, and whether the first valve can be repaired. At that point I might review my ratings and see. They are handy, especially in the location in which I required their use. However, they have to be reliable. I am not able to monitor them daily, and I do not want to burn up a submersible pump.
