So disappointed
After seeing this plant highlighted on "Garden Answer" I couldn't wait to order as there were none in store...sadly it was uprooted during shipping with broken stems..they seem pretty resilient so I'm hoping for the best!

wilted and broken stems
I am going to try and save it. With all my years of ordering all sorts of plants online this order was by far the worst packaged and delivered. There was no saran wrap to keep the soil in place and all the top soil was spilled out, and the box was so flimsy it was smashed and damaged during shipping.

Healthy Plants

I couldn’t bring myself to pay $40+ for more mature plants at local nurseries. These cane small, printed back but still living. All three are in the ground and growing. I was also worried because the foliage they DID have was green, but since being outside the leaves are darkening up.

I was so surprised to see that all 5 plants...
I was so surprised to see that all 5 plants came in a 3' box. LOL~ The plants were maybe 3" tall. I guess I didn't read the description well. I would not purchase this size again, I'd spend the money on a larger size. My guess is it will take another 5 years to get them to 3 ' tall. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I got 4 elderberries at the same time, two were Black Lace and two were Lemony Lace. For some reason the two Lemony Lace seem to be doing much better than the two Black Lace. I have no idea why but the contrast is obvious. Same location…same conditions.

This was a very disappointing purchase. While delivery was quick, however the plant is miniature and looks sickly. At this point I am waiting to see if it survives prior to reaching out to HD for refund guidance…

Pathetic
I transplanted a sambucus and it appeared to have died so I purchased a new one, this one. It came wilted, the color is not black it’s more rusty. I’ve been trying to get it to take off for a year and it is still exactly the same as when it arrived, meanwhile the one I thought I killed came back to life in the compost pile and is better than ever. Never again.

When they arrived they were little brown sticks. I repotted them and put them in a sunny window and they are leafing out. The foliage is lovely. I look forward to putting them in the ground when it grows warmer. I believe I have had them about 5 to 6 weeks. The plants so far have met my expectations.
