Works very well. Pump cord is only 8' so we had to hook everything up on an extension cord.

It is supposed to alert you when you have no power. I haven’t had one alert from it and have had a couple of power outages since purchase. Only good thing about it is you can see how often your pump runs.

Our sump pump runs a lot so nice to have this with its notification system to let you know if it loses power or has high water levels. Just a little more added comfort in knowing the pump is working.

I love the concept of the product. However, I could never get it to connect to my wi-fi. Could certainly be an error on my part but when i asked them for help, I only got curt email responses that did not help me. So, I returned the product.

Seems like a quality product. Had a little difficulty with initial setup regarding wfi. Support was quick with response and help. All working now. Hopefully will be long lasting.

Works like a charm! Great to have this device to give me peace of mind when I’m not home for an extended period of time. Best money I have ever spent!

Love this product, it already saved us from burning out our pump as it alerted us that the motor was running continuously - water had frozen in the discharge pipe. Easy to install too

I had a high water alarm last weekend and sure enough the pump was burned out. I would have had no idea if it wasnt for this product. Worls great!

The PumpSpy has already paid for itself, and I installed less than 10 days ago. The PumpSpy arrived the day before we left on a vacation. I looked it over, and it was so simple to install, that I went ahead and spent the 10 minutes to install the outlet monitor, the water level monitor, and join the home network, install the app on two phones, and test the system. While on vacation, the temp dropped to below zero and the power went out. Or whole house generator failed to kick on, so the PumpSpy sent me a text message to let me know that the power to the pump was off. When this occurs, I have about 10 minutes to restore power to the pump before the water level rises above the top of the sump hole. I contacted my daughter and she was able to manually start the generator. The power was off for over 12 hours, and the flood was avoided because of the PumpSpy. Would I recommend this product to anyone. I have already told no less than 25 people about it. Yes!! Thanks much for you innovation. You saved our vacation. Craig

Super easy and works as expected. It needs WiFi but your phone DOES NOT! have to be on WiFi to receive text alerts!!

The ap works well if you have an I phone. However if you have an android it keeps crashing...VERY FRUSTRATING

works exactly as advertised, I can monitor how often my sump pump runs and sends an alert whenever the water level gets too high. I had some minor issues and the responses to my emails almost instantly. You won't get that level of support from the big guys subcontracting to India.

This is one of the better WiFi product I have purchased and easy to setup and does what it says. I have a 200 foot drain line out to a pond with a tendency to freezing. This device tells me if my pump has discharged water and gives me time to blow out the line before freezing.

I’m in I.T. and I wish every install was this easy! Up and running in minutes. As an added binus this is unit is actually three products in one: 1) pump activity monitor, 2) a high water level detector/alert, and 3) a power outage monitor. If you compare the cost to monitor any one of these through an alarm monitoring service, you have paid for this unit 100 times over. PumpSpy has paved the way for future in terms of truly free monitoring bundled with thr product. The app is actually very well designed to boot. Highly recommend this product!

Installed about a year ago in Nov. and has worked flawlessly. Had to replace Outlet this Spring due to shorting out when removing and replacing in outlet. The sump basin has been bone dry all summer but the Outlet app will still send a update that the pump has activated on for about 5 seconds EVEN WITH THE FLOAT SWITCH DEACTIVATED every few days. Contacting PumpSpy tech support said impossible???? Red Lion pump Support said impossible??? My crawl space is in the Twilight Zone!

I wanted a simple method to monitor the pump and notify me if conditions weren’t normal. My home WiFi is on battery backup so this unit will be able to transmit when the power goes out. It also monitors how frequently the pump runs and the duration of the cycles.

The wifi sump pump outlet is a god send after the last basement flood for a failed sump pump. The alert notification works great and the history data provides important information.

Good purchase. Occasionally loses WiFi connection but overall a good supplement to a sump back up

I just bought this product and it appears to be a wonderful invention. I can monitor my sump pump from anywhere. I also love the no monthly subscription fee. Very simple to install.

The PumpSpy Smart Outlet was easy to connect to my wifi and it works great. I was having a lot of trouble with a different product and returned it and ordered this. Easy to setup: download the app, connect the outlet to your network and plug in the sump pump. A float sensor clamps onto your sump pump pipe to warn you of high water level. The alerts come through very quickly, usually within a second or two when I tested. The app shows all sorts of data, including how many times my pump runs in a day. If you have a finished basement, this is a must have. Very pleased.

Easy to install and gives me a great peaceof mind knowing I have alerts to let me know if things are not working! Electric /WiFi and pump itself. Very please so far!

Works Great, easy to hookup.

I got my smart outlet, installed and connected to my wifi in about 2 minutes. Once it connected, I plugged in my pump and the app shows the current info, including how many times my pump cycled today and the last time it cycled. Triggered the high water float and got an alert and text in about 5 seconds. Cool! The app also lets me enter more email addresses and cell numbers to receive alerts and the messages all come through very quickly. I unplugged it and got a message that the power had failed instantly. I emailed the pumpspy support and asked how I would know if my outlet's internet went down. The emailed me and said their system would send alert after my Outlet was offline from them after 8-10 minutes. My basement flooded with all the storms in the last month. (I had another system that never told me it was offline, I replaced with this) Awesome technology and peace of mind. No more flooding for me!

Not sure if it will work when water level hits the trigger, but it definitely works and lets you know when internet connection is broken and re-established.

This is a great product. Super clear and easy instructions. Good quality. Literally took 10 total minutes from box to finished and WiFi connected. It gives much more information than most competitors; not only pump failure but also power outage in the house or outlet. Also let’s you know when power returns and if pumps start functioning. Also weekly logs. I have had it a week, and purposely simulated a failed the pump and a power outage to confirm they do send alert within 10 minutes. Highly recommend.

I was unable to use this because the outlet is not close enough to the sump pump and it does not work with an extension cord. The high water sensor cord is also too short to attach to the outlet when using an extension cord. I am sure this would have worked great, but the logistics just didn't work out for me.

Smart Outlet worked fine when it stayed connected to internet. Had unit for about 6 months. Recently the PumpSpy.com website has gone down and the unit will not work at all and the application does not work either to access your account. PumpSpy needs to address this issue. This has happened several times over the last couple of days. PumpSpy needs to update its monitoring system.

The PumpSpy was easy to install. WiFi hookup only took a couple of minutes and was very straightforward. Really enjoy the piece of mind knowing I’ll be alerted if subpump begins to have failure or water level reaches high water level in basin.
