As always, Riobi puts out a good product. However, I was a bit disappointed because I didn’t realize this model didn’t have the adjustable speed. This feature should be on all models. This is a good product and has many different attachments for work in metal and wood.

Great value and great performance. I am so glad to get it . Thank you Ryobi! A very handful tool.

The quick change for accessory tips does not work.

I am not happy with it the small attachments broke in my hand when putting it together, I’m returning this item back to store

The quick change collet immediately jammed up and is useless. It’s stuck in the locked position without an accessory and it will not unlock. This is a pretty common issue I’ve heard but I don’t know how to get a replacement. The standard collet is fine though. The “quick change” one is more trouble than it’s worth so just use the standard one.

Wasn’t happy it wasn’t cordless. Brought by mistake.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rotary tool has all the attachments I could want! I have not been able to unscrew the fixture to change tools. It says it has a quick change option but it is NOT quick. I am sure I will figure this out, but my other Ryobi tools are much easier to use.

I purchased the Ryobi rotary tool to replace a well-known competitor's tool which broke twice. Instead of buying a third one, i decided to buy the Ryobi. It has worked just as good and was actually cheaper than the competition. Hopefully it will last longer. So far, so good.

This tool was pretty bad. The delivery was fine. I used the tool 2 times. The first time it worked fine at about 3000 rpms. The second time I used it at 4500 rpms, the speed dial and the speed kept dropping down below 3500 rpms on its own. I kept turning the speed back up and it instantly kept dropping down. I just recently purchased the tool and now I am going to return it.

I really like mine drill. It was very easy to assemble.

It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to put in a grinding tip (came with the tool). The clamp did not open for me to insert the tip. I had insert a small screw drive to open it up. Once the tip is installed, it works as expected but then I can't get the tip out. I ended up returning the tool. I used Dremel tool in the past and don't have this issue. May be this particular unit is detected or may be it is just a poor design.

The device itself runs great. The attachments were so brittle. 2 of the wheels snapped in pieces at the slightest touch. Would not buy again.

I like all the features of the tool, especially the speed adjustment for it is easier to select the speed than the Dremel rotary tool I used to have. I have quite a lot of projects lined up from home repairs to hobbies. I'll probably wear out most of the bit that came with it, before i wear out the tool's motor.

I usually don't mind corded tools but with a rotary tool the cord tends to get in the way often - so get the cordless version if you can! Other than that, this is a great tool that gets the job done. It's quiet, fast, and has a great selection of accessories. My only complaint is that the "quick-release" for tool switching is difficult to operate and sometimes doesn't lock properly. I wish they chose a less over-engineered design.
