[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chainsaw is the perfect size for me…I have used it to trim small branches off trees and cut small dead bushes at the ground. The chain seems to fall off quite often, but I am able to put it back on fairly easily.

Impressive sawing ability. Battery longevity is impressive.

It's not clear how oiling works. Battery is better than I expected though

RYOBI 12” Chainsaw is Awesome to say the least. It has worked flawlessly !!

Great tool for most home owners. I used the saw on several trees with dead limbs from last winter’s freeze. It handled small to 6-7” limbs with no problem. If I have to cut anything bigger than that, I”ll call a professional.

Chain keeps slipping

Excellent powerfull chainsaw! No problem cutting through tree limbs and wet ones. The battery lasted longer than I expected! Great Price and value! Side note, make sure to get chainsaw oil with your puchase, it does not come with it, you will need it!

This is ridiculous the battery heats up every 20 mins you have to cool it down.. definitely returning this crap..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit did everything I wanted it to do. Used my existing battery collection and cleaned up all the downed tree limbs in my yard. Some were 6” or more in diameter, and it went through them like butter.

It's been a pretty good chainsaw for the few weeks I've had it. I like that it's light and it starts instantly when you squeeze the trigger so that makes it ultra convenient. Hopefully the battery stands up against some punishment but for light duty cutting it seems ok so far

This isa a handy little saw for tree limbs and small trees. Definitely a good tool to have around the yard.

Requires a specialty chain that is smaller and not as durable as other saws in this segment. Looking for a suitable replacement.

As others have reported the saw will not hold oil. I asked the Ryobi rep if this was a known issue; he replied "no". He further informed me my unit was out of warranty; no need to pursue the issue. Okay, just drain the oil after each use. What a joke. I have put less that two hours runtime on the saw. Motor just fried… Of the myriad tools I have from RYOBI only my flashlight and handheld air compressor are operable. My other purchases were a complete waste of money. DO NOT BUY FROM RYOBI

this blade is way shorter than needed

Delivery experience was below average.. it missed the last truck out and came several days later than promised. The whole experience, including the product I would grade “B.”

I recently bought this chain saw it is amazing and awesome good for the price and good for what i need it for you can’t go wrong with this chain saw I am totally satisfied with buying this saw

Works well for small around the house tree issues. Recent storm caused tree damage and we were able cut all the tree branches we needed and the saw was amazing

Love me some Ryobi! This tool is a great addition to my collection. Makes quick work of the long branches I cut with my Ryobi pole saw. Cutting, loading and hauling to the burn pile made easy.
