The instal was not a breeze but wasn't the end of the world either. Directions could use some clarity on the mounting distance between the arms. I am going to buy 2 more to get my garage organized. It works well and feels heavy duty.

Overhead garage storage is a wonderful thing. There are many stationary units out there, but the pulley system is worth the extra money. The drill attachment makes it very easy to raise and lower the unit. It gives us 40+ sq ft of extra storage space in our garage.

Quick and easy pick up.

Storage space over the open garage door goes unnoticed. Getting clutter off the floor that isnt frequently used such as xmas tree, halloween deco, etc, . Overall, it frees up some floor or shelf space. Already installed one prior to this one. I added a thin plywood on the edges to hide all th stuff. Looks better. Getting close to the weight limit. Added angle iron to reinforce bowing.

This kit was everything that I expected it to be after reading the description at the Home Depot website.It was east to install and I modified it to lift a camper shell off my pickup truck so I can do this task by myself. It works fine.

Easy to assemble

I paid someone to install it, so I cannot comment on the process of putting it up. This is the second time I have put one of these in my house. They work as advertised. That's all you need to know.

I bought this for removing the hard top on my Jeep Wrangler jk, it works perfectly and was easy to install. Installation took about an hour solo effort.

So easy to install that I installed by myself.

It went together easily had to have some help to put it to the rafters works better than I thought it would I would definitely buy another one.

Excellent product and certainly a great way to make room in the garage. It took to guys 1-1/2 hours to put up and it works really well. So much so, that we bought a second one and it only took an hour to put up!

All parts in the box, clear instructions for assembly, a little difficult to install. This is the third unit we have and they hold a lot. The lift mechanism is sturdy and works well. I do recommend using the drill attachment to raise and lower the platform - a good 3/8 inch drill works well.

Lifted storage items up and out of the way. Not easy to install since it was all work off a ladder and above the head, but no harder then I expected. You will want someone to help make sure the pieces attached to the ceiling are square to each other. Very satisfied with how it works.

Works perfect to store my ice shack and all equipment! Easy to put together too.

Wish I had bought these for the rest of my garage storage! I have had racks in my garage for a few years now but came across this product recently and now I want to change them all to this! The convenience of being able to lift the storage rack up and down is well worth the extra money over having to pull out my ladder and climb up with heavy items to store. The installation was very easy, just make sure you are finding studs to attach this to properly. Also make sure the first time you lift the rack you have a decent amount of weight on it or the wire will coil over itself and will not be level. I plan on switching out all my garage storage racks to this asap!!

Easy to assemble. It does require two people to attach to the ceiling. A special drill is required to raise and lower the platform. Carriage bolts to attach to the ceiling are metric so that requires a ratchet set. If you load it to its maximum weight, it is difficult to raise and lower by hand.

Second Racor Lift purchased from Home Depot. Awesome product. 1st purchase and use was 2015. It’s been holding my 90 lb Jackson Big Tuna Two Person Kayak and gear. The most recent purchase is for our three person canoe. Both are solid and the three year old lift is still like new.

Easy assembly and install. Im using the rack to lift and store my Jeep top.

Worked well. My ceilings are over 8ft, so wish there was an option to extend the cables easily, but we made due.
