I installed this 400 watt rated system two weeks ago. The panels are on the pilot house roof of my powerboat connected in series. I installed the supplied 10A fuse. The Rover MPPT charge controller is in the engine room. The system charges a 260 AH flooded lead acid battery bank. I also have a Renogy battery monitor. The system is intended to allow full time operation of an undercounter refrigerator while the boat is on it’s mooring. The system is operating as intended. The battery monitor indicates 100% battery capacity by early afternoon even on fully overcast days. I am very happy.

Such a great starter kit. Arrived perfect! Panels are doing great, actually pulled 415 watts on my rv yesterday with the panels angled at the correct degree to the south. Charge controller is awesome and all wires and hookups work great. Two things to note: the charge controller on the app will read out what the controller is converting at that moment for your batteries current needs. Can be confusing to think you’re only getting 2 amps when you have 79 volts and 200-300 watts - but it’s likely because your batteries are charged and it’s just sending all that is needed. Second, if you have a 5th wheel or longer trailer, the PV wires from the panels to the controller WILL NOT be long enough. I order 40ft and it was perfect. Prob about 6-8 ft left over. Wish that was an optional upgrade at checkout.

I don't usually write reviews, but I figured I would in this case: The main reason I purchased this kit is because you can actually call Renogy, and they actually have someone to answer the phone who is eager to answer questions and assist in tech advise. To me, that's huge! Anyways, I installed this 3 years ago for my off-grid tiny beach house in Mexico. It has functioned perfectly and is holding up great. The only maintenance I've performed is just cleaning the panels. This system is small, but perfect for a low voltage setup (like tiny home or RV) - my home is all 12v, with a small inverter for light AC needs. The kit was easy to install, and came with everything I needed. I fabricated a simple rack for the panels (see pic). For batteries, and purchased 4 "VMAX" 6V (225Ah) AGM Deep Cycle Batteries from Amazon (connected them in series and parallel - see pic). I couldn't be happier with this system - Thanks Renogy.

Great Product. Support was awesome to talk to to figure out a few items. I use it for a Solar Battery backup system if I lose power to run my mini fridge, sump pump and freezer. I added 2 - 200AH 12 volt AGM Batteries and a 2000 watt inverter. I think they should sell as a package, but everybody's needs are different I guess. The only thing I would recommend is that people use a watt meter for (over time) calculations. you really need to do the math on what your appliances use and over time what your needs are.

Great system so far, for my first time solar panels, and for the amount of sun I get they seem to crank out a good amount of power.

I purchased this 400 watt premium kit a month ago. I had a 200 watt 20 amp beginners set in my cargo trailer,(toy hauler build) for two years and not one problem! The items where easy install. I'm running my upright freezer and battery chargers and all is well to date. I also installed a 2000 watt Renogy inverter and it is operating as well as the solar system. The only glitch, was the remote control with my inverter not working. but Renogy said they would replace? waiting to hear from them, hope the manufacturing defective replacement side is as good as the product?

Great kit! Was easy to install. Easy to understand the wiring, just using the diagram shown on the kits page.

Great kit. Had everything needed to install. Had it up and running in a day on my Jayco Jay Feather LJT29.

We wanted a simple but effective energy system and decided on the Renogy 400w premium solar kit and (for now) one Renogy Smart Lithium Battery (will be adding two more soon). This system is easy to connect with instant results! The Blue Tooth module and the Renogy app is so user friendly and informative! This is our first solar system but thumbs up to Renogy!

Added the 400 Watt 12 Volt Renegy Premium Kit to the roof of my 2008 Winnebago View motorhome this weekend. The kit was pretty complete and was able to do the install on the roof using self-made modified aluminum brackets and VHB tape without screws penetrating the motorhome roof. Didn't like the brackets provided in the kit since they were too low and did not have enough surface area to ensure good, strong bracket-to-roof adhesion. The only equipment I added to the Renogy system was an on-off switch from the solar panels to the charge controller so that I could disconnect the solar panel power when working on the battery system. I also added an inverter with a 300 amp in-line fuse to the batteries to run most of the power in my motorhome. Great Renogy kit and quite simple to install, even though the instructions were lacking and, I think, could use more detail.

just picked up this Renogy Kit from HD last week, was excited to put together and thought i got a great deal from HD special pricing, except, upon paying more attention today, i noticed my 200 watt solar panels are NOT the premium Eclipse Panels as per the HD Description. Here's a picture of my panels with 8 vertical silver lines. Now, compare that with the Eclipse with NO silver vertical lines. Price for NON Eclipse panel is $110 / each, the new Eclipse panel is $200 / each. Did someone switched the panels and gave me the cheaper solar panels? The product description specially says: Eclipse 100-Watt monocrystalline: 18.35% As backup power source for regular homes Comes with cables and connectors for quick and easy set-up

Ordered 200w, w/ stand solar unit 6/21/24. No shipment utill7/29/24. Lack of communication, lost shipment. After shipment product was missing controller, stand, wires, paperwork. Home Depot had no interest in reconciling.

The panels and controler are 5 star but the wiring connectors and fuses do not work. Had to buy a 4 way connector and a 30 amp inline fuse to make it work.

The quality cannot be understated however as someone who's never worked with electronics and was under the assumption the instructions would be helpful in assisting the set up I was wrong. The instructions include everything you need to know about the control box but not a lick about proper instalation into the box or connecting your battery to the solar panels and the panels to eachother for the price I paid for a no doubt quality system I would like to see at least 5 more pages of instructions on how to connect everything and what everything should look like when put together and what to look for in improper instalation.

Fairly easy to install. Just got back from a 10 day hunting trip and I didn’t need to run the generator the whole time. So far a great product. The only complaint was all the wire leads are fairly short. It limits your options on how you position the panels on the roof. I also had to buy longer wire to run from the charge control to the battery. But over all The system works great and has been a good investment

I like your products but unfortunately it looks as if you guys no longer use bread pay financial as means of payment. I was looking forward to purchasing more of your products but because you no longer use bread pay I may not be able to.

Works good easy install with little planning to fire out where to locate everything.

I am very happy with my purchase so far… It as working as it should and now I am ready to buy more batteries and panels.

I installed this kit on our motorhome 2 weeks ago. Everything needed was in the kit and it was easy to install as a diy project. After installation I disconnected the converter in the RV and has been running 100% on solar for our entire 12V system ever since. We are in Seaside OR where it is very cloudy and rainy, but still this kit exceeds all my expectations. I can only recommend this kit, if you want to go solar on your RV.

The installation was fairly simple. Almost everthing that was needed was in the kit. I did have to purchase a cable entry cover. Once properly set up for my batteries the system has been working flawlessly. I did spend about 30 minutes with a Renogy tech to properly set up the charge controller.

Was delivered in a timely manner, pretty easy to set up. A bit disappointing to realize you can only connect the panels in series with the supplied wiring, but I guess you just purchase a couple cables to parrellel the panels. We are going to use it instead of a gen. for storms/power outages. Should run 5he fridge, tv and a couple fans

Everything super great quality worked better than my expectations 400 W solar panels keeps my 2 100 amp hour lithium batteries charged up all the way round works great. My whole system is completely Renogy!

Easy! One suggestion: 20-24' long controller to batteries cables? We bought 16' and spliced provided 8' to get it done. Awesome products.

Quality construction. Have not hooked it up yet. Still determining how to integrate into my RVs power system.
