much better than traditional home depot tin vent. Only issue....
much better than traditional home depot tin vent. Only issue. hinge portion of vent draft lid does not meet flush with seat. Sits about 1/8" to high

The vent design is to have a bleed air gap to prevent freezing the damper to unit. This is very important in the north county. If doesn’t freeze in your part of the county. You can flip the damper to eliminate the gap.

So simple to put up, I just used a 4 1/2 hole saw and then cut shingles so it can slide under them !

I purchased this roof vent as part of a new bathroom vent system to coincide with a new roof to be installed on my home. My roofing contractor advised against using it stating that it was made of plastic and would not endure for many years. He offered a metal roof vent, and because he included it free of charge, I trust his assessment.
