This review is specific to the upright. Like some other reviews, I have to agree that the new upright design is a step in the wrong direction for the FastTrack system. The older design had a cleaner finished look, it fit snug to the track, had a shallower depth so the completed shelf system fit closer to the wall, and was almost 3" longer in total length (comparison between old and new 25" product). The new upright hangs very loose and does not provide that secure connection. Definately some opportunity here to improve the design.

Rails went up easy on studs. Wound up using different Sheetrock anchor bolts because included plastic anchor bolts broke during mounting. The racks and accessories mount easily and seem fairly sturdy. No problems yet. I've had the rack and rails for a few weeks.

Designed for the Rubbermaid Rails, as the top has a cutout to fit over the railings. Just hang on the rail and screw into a stud or wall anchor (included) for additional security. In my case I used 3 uprights for 48" wide railing. Sturdy. The matching shelf brackets attached easily, and the wire shelving fit into a safety clip at the rear to guard against, say, heavy stuff on one end causing the shelf to tip up or slide off the bracket. Excellent design. Garage gray color: excellent! The entire project (two rails, six uprights, eighteen brackets, six wire shelves, took less than two hours. Extremely pleased with its appearance and sturdiness. I would recommend this to anyone. Rubbermaid offers two foot extensions to the uprights if you need additional room.

After 20 years in my home, I had collected an enormous amount of "stuff" some of which had overflowed into the garage. For at least five years I had been forced to park in the driveway because 1/2 of the garage was stuffed. So after some prodding, I convinced two of my sons to help me weed, paint, and organize. I had been looking at the Rubbermaid FastTrack system for quite a while and wanted it all, including the hanging upper cabinets and lower cabinets. Unfortunately the cabinets had been discontinued. :( I purchased the rails and an assortment of hooks which were readily available from HomeDepot. However, the uprights, wire shelves and brackets were a little harder to come by but I ended up ordering the uprights directly from Rubbermaid. Shipping was exactly as they had said - three to five business days after the order had been received and processed. The installation was easy, and didn't take too long. The transformation is incredible! All i can say is that this is one fabulous product at a reasonable price point, and I highly recommend the Rubbermaid FastTrack System! The only way it could be better is if Rubbermaid could make a few more selections of hooks (smaller single hooks, vertical golf bags support and shelf unit for golf shoes or golf accessories, short rails - 2' or 3' - and shelves to match) etc.

This product was not as described. I purchased this because it is an extension track “with extension,” but it was only the tracks. No extension for expansion included. Will still use for other purpose.

Love these shelving systems. I wish that more of the accessories were still available though.

FastTrack System fully meets our expectations. A suggestion on installation multiple units. After marking studs and installing horizontal rails, TEMPORARILY place vertical rails and one shelf, adjust spacing for best support and appearance; THEN drill additional holes as needed to permanently mount verticals and shelves.

Very versatile, especially if your framework is exposed like in a shed. And the system is very strong and easy to install.

Easy to install. Sturdy. I’ve used Elfa shelving in the past. The Fasttrack uses the same principle as the Elfa for 1/3 of the cost. I will definitely buy again. I recommend this product

This product is designed to extract as much as possible out of the consumer without regard to the actual use of the product. It's best to buy the ones without fast track as the track is not useful if you have shelves below.

Easy to install and easy to use. Holds the weight advertised and then some. Be sure you are on a couple of studs though, the drywall anchors will just pull out if you try to max out the weight.

We started organizing our garage with this FastTrack assembly when we moved 4 years ago. We have since added onto the initial shelving. It is very sturdy and has not warped or sagged even with a chain saw and other heavy items per shelf. It is easy to install and clips into place so the shelf stays put. We will purchase more as needed.

I installed the shelves according to the enclosed instructions and I am very satisifed.
