Buyer Beware, $2500.00 Refrigerator that lasts 3 years

Have only had it 6 weeks and really like the design and separate freezer sections, much easier than the pull out drawer style. Would give 5 stars if same after a year or more. One note, we read a few complaints on the ice maker not working after a short time and wondered if these people followed the initial ice make start up instruction as it is a 3 part process for the first round of ice.

i love this fridge. it has plenty of room and i love that the bottom can be a freezer or a fridge. the ice maker though is another story. i would give the ice a maker negative stars if i could. it has never worked more than a few days at a time.

We purchased this refrigerator 3 months ago and have been pleased so far. We have a deep freezer so the extra refrigerator space has been a great benefit. I was wondering how much use we would get out of the flex door but I quickly realized it was a huge advantage to grab creamer or jelly and other condiments without having to open up the entire refrigerator.

I had a hard time deciding on the model and features in a new refrigerator. The Samsung Food Showcase 4 door Flex model is designed for a high end kitchen. I was looking to replace my stainless steel refrigerator and was not sure of the black stainless steel model. This refrigerator allows magnets to stick on the front and sides. The FlexZone feature gives you a chance to decide on how much refrigerator or freezer you want and can change it whenever you need more of one or the other. The Showcase feature is very convenient to allow you to get a cold item without having to open the door.

love the refrigerator --- truly really dislike -- can i say that strongly enough -- the ice maker --- less than three years and it has been repaired twice and it has not worked for well over a year - when we first got it the ice maker worked for about two weeks and stopped making ice - we called --they came and fixed it and it worked for about two or three weeks and they came back this time they told us we can't fix this again - these icemakers just do not work -- really fix this problem --- it seems to me that nearly everyone has this problem -- so really i do not think this is consumer error

have had the refrigerator for 3 years now. love the way it looks, but it's easily the worst refrigerator i've ever had. here are problems: --ice maker often freezes up, causing me to defrost it every three months or so. --control panel isn't intuitive at all. i don't know how to turn things on or off. --when i installed a water filter, it leaked causing a massive stain on our wooden floor. --now the control panel says filter reset so i replace the filter. now water doesn't come out at all and the filter reset button stays on. --this web page doesn't contain instruction manual. --no fingerprints is just a ploy. fingerprints are all over the place.

Very happy with our purchase. Love the flexibility of storage in the fridge/freezer section and there is so much space. Makes me look forward to holiday cooking even more!

Not enough ice for a family of 5 but love the refrigerator other than that!

Just love the look and the two door freezer is great. Much easier to find items in the freezer.

we love the interior of the fridge. the flex space is perfect and we decided to use that entire space as our fruit and vegetable area. it's great! we really like the interior handles vs. big handles on the exterior. we chose the black stainless hoping for the benefits of stainless--lower fingerprints on the exterior. however, the entire handle area is clean, shiny metal and/or plastic, which defeats the whole purpose of black stainless on the exterior doors. the square flat areas on the handle area are also difficult to clean. we like the fridge but don't appreciate the amount of time we have to spend wiping it down every day--and we don't even have children at home. the icemaker is lightweight too. a little pricey, but in general though, a nice fridge.

remodeled our kitchen two years ago. purchased full kitchen of samsung products. the ice maker hasn't worked right for months. it kept freezing up and would stop working until finally it would stop. had to un-thaw the unit every few weeks. it finally stopped working for good. not worth the hassle to fix. never again samsung.....

Ice maker broke 6 months after delivery. Warranty service sent technicians to patch leaks.....but techs were totally honest that there was no permanent solution to this problem. The freezer works 80% of the time. This experience was so bad that we stay away from all Samsung products now. Beware!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The space, functionality, and ability to convert the lower right freezer to a fridge is awesome and we have had to use that for parties. Also, we live in a location that the electricity can go off for up to 24 hours. The fridge and freezer stay cold/frozen. Love it and I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a great fridge. The double doors open to wide and deep shelves that can easily hold 2 standard sheet pan. The flexzone door can hold large bottles/jugs for quick access. The flexibility to have the lower right compartment as a freezer or fridge is very convenient. The only downsize for this fridge is the ice maker. The ice maker is small and if unused will freeze up.

I like the look and 4-door style of this refrigerator, but after barely over a year, we had the same issue as so many others have had with the ice-maker freezing up. We followed all the suggestions, had to routinely thaw it out with a hair-dryer, etc, and now it has completely stopped working altogether. Obviously unacceptable to have such a widespread problem in such a new appliance, especially at this price point!!

I really like the flex door option and the metal cooling panels. The flex zone was a great option because we have a deep freezer in our garage and are able maximize the usage of refrigerator space.

The refrigerator is a little louder than my last one.The doors don't open wide enough and wont stay open.. they keep closing, it makes it kind of hard to stock the fridge because you have to keep opening the doorson this model there is no water/ice tray at the dispenser.

However, we’ve only had the refrigerator for 3 months and the ice maker already died. Samsung sent someone out to replace the ice maker, but the new ice maker never worked. Still waiting on a fix.

We bought this Samsung about 4 years ago and have had the ice maker repaired 3 times already. Now it's broken again. Don't ever buy a refrigerator with the ice maker in the fridge section. They build up frost from the humidity of the fridge and plug. About every week I have to get a long knife and chop out the wall of ice cubes that Builds up and plugs the unit. Of course you don't realize its plugged until it runs out of ice so I often have to go to buy a bag of ice. I've decided to throw this junk in the garage without a water hook up and buy a new fridge with the ice maker in the bottom drawer freezer. I'm not knocking Samsung, but rather any French door model that puts the dispenser on the front and the ice maker in the fridge.

I left this appliance and the warranty I purchased when I sold my previous home. I bought the same appliance for my new home, in a different color and the ice make problem has been corrected -- I think!

I like how the doors open and how the freezer door is so separate. I also like how there is a section that can either be a fridge or freezer. This fridge has great features! The wifi feature is really nice. Definitely recommend this fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this fridge for about 2 years. I will say, it's very functional and works great. The not so good: ice maker is not great. If you fill a small pitcher with ice, you will have to wait at least 4-6 hours to get ice again. I like the functionality of the ice maker but am very unhappy about the output of ice. Also, about a week ago the ice machine has started leaking water when we push a glass against the ice lever. Not sure if the ice is melting or the water lever and ice lever have somehow broke and am getting some double activation. i will be calling the repair folks to check this out next week. Another bad is, finger prints are easily left on the door handles and surrounding area. It will require cleaning often. If i remember, i will update this post.

Since we own a separate freezer I use the flex space for deli meat and drinks. Who doesn't love an ice cold beer or refreshing soda? It fits perfectly in the space and the stainless finish is easy to keep clean. I liked it so much I got my Mother one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this refrigerator for 2 years now and I love it. It has great features and is extremely roomy inside. The adjustable shelves are great and the flex door is perfect. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the ice machine. It freezes over alot and he have had to replace the ice tray twice. In order for us to get ice on a consistent basis, my husband has to pull it out and basically defrost it. Which according to the manual, he shouldn't have to do.

The ice maker quit working and we found it was a known defect. We've had them out 3 times to take care of it (They even replaced it once) and it still doesn't work correctly. We only have the bottom left (looking at it) freezer, which has also quit working and we've had them out a couple of times. The old Samsung that came with the house works better than our new one unfortunately. I love the food showcase door, it's so easy to get to the most often used items without having to open the whole door. I also like the flex system for the bottom right compartment (either fridge or freezer). I was so happy when we received our purchase and started using it, but have become frustrated due to the freezing issues.
