dryer’s drum cracked after 1 year of normal use in a 3 people household.dryer made odd rotation noise and found crack on weld after checking the drum.

Our dryer has squeaked loudly since the day it was delivered. After hoping it would go away after it had broke in we had no luck. We contacted Samsung and they sent out an appliance repair company to fix the problem. I hate the fact that I spent a lot of money for a higher end unit just to have it torn apart two months later. Also the top scratches very easily. I would not recommend this unit. I also own the washer and have not had any issues with it.

I use a lot of Samsung products, phones, tablets, and many household appliances. The Gas Dryer was delivered to me on April 3 this year, order number #US058568550. I was happy with everything in the beginning but when I used it the first time, the upper right corner of the door cut my hand to bleeding (see 5 pictures attached), I called the customer service right away, he promised to replace me a new one, but because of the COVID-19 situation, it is hard to do social distancing for installers come to install the second dryer, I feel not safe to do that. Now every time I use the dryer, I need to be very careful to prevent the door cut my hand again. I believe the engineering design and the production assembly needs to be improved, not sure a new one can resolve the problem. This is about consumer safety and to prevent injury during use. If it is not during the pandemic situation, I will return the machine and order another one.

This Samsung gas dryer has so many features and controls it is a little overwhelming but I'm learning. First the install. This is a gas dryer so I had to hook up the gas line and since I was replacing an older dryer all I had to do was reconnect the gas line to the new one; same for the vent duct. However, I have never had to hook up a water line to a dryer but this required one because of the steam function. The dryer comes with a "Y" hose connector so that I could come off the cold water line to my washer. My wife has already used the "Refresh" function which used steam to remove cigarette odors from a jacket. The dryer has a large capacity which I like and I also like the drum light so I can see inside while unloading it. The door only opens 90 degrees and is always sticking out in the way; it would have been nice if it opened up 180 degrees and be parallel with the dryer and out of the way. Also, when I dry with the automatic settings, the load is still slightly damp requiring me to do a timed dry however, I am still learning the settings so this may not be a long term issue. All-in-all, this is a very nice dryer. It looks great and the touch controls are cool.

I have had this now for a cple weeks and must admit , it a great dryer. This gas dryer is big inside and does the job right the first time around. I bought the matching washer and it's fantastic also. The steam in this dryer is perfect for the wrinkles in clothes. It has all the bells and whistles that anyone could possibly need . The site should tell you when you order the gas dryer that the delivery people do not hook it up. Someone else will come on another day and hook it up and haul away your old dryer then. So it meant taking off time from work that I did not plan on. So now everyone knows the process now ! The gentlemen who came and hooked it up were great though. If your thinking about buying a new dryer , give this a serious look !

We have been using this new natural gas dryer for a few weeks now. The champagne color is eye-catching and elegant. It is large capacity and has all the features and settings you need including a drying rack for sneakers and the steam sanitize function which requires connecting to a water supply. The door swing is easily changeable which the delivery crew did for us. One favorite feature is the lint screen designed to capture and prevent any globs of lint falling deeper into the dryer vent! Another good safety design is the vent sensor that continuously monitors the condition of the air duct because most people never think of checking for a clogged vent tube which could lead to a fire.

remarkable dryer. i was not aware a dryer had so many features until this one arrived. the drum capacity is huge which is great. the features seemed overwhelming at first but turns out its very simple to use. the steam feature is amazing it works great and removes wrinkles and is supposed to help sanitize items that may need it. its quiet operation, handy features easy to remove lint trap and even a boot dryer rack is included. Samsung has earned another customer for more than just my tv's.

We love this dryer and it perfectly complements our new washing machine. It’s beautiful in the champagne color, easy to operate and relatively quiet. Great capacity dryer with a multitude of options. There is a steam and sanitize function which is invoked as one of the dryer cycle options. The dryer is deceivingly light and easy to move around. The dryer gives you so many options including a) 12 Preset drying cycles, b) 9 Drying options and c) 5 Temperature levels. Makes it easy to dial in that perfect set of options from normal to delicate. The rotary dial on the control panel is feather light to operate. The removable gray shelf for sneakers or other items that don't tumble well is a nice feature. There is a light when you open the door for better visibility of the contents. We are pretty good about cleaning out the lint catcher on a regular basis, but having an indicator is a welcome feature. If you decide to use the steam feature on the Gas dryer you will need to install the included cold water line brass Y splitter in order to provide cold water to both the washing machine and the dryer. Be aware that you might need one additional water hose depending on the distance of the machines to the water supply. The dryer does come with a short black hose that should work in most cases. We were surprised to see that the machines did not arrive in the typical cardboard shipping containers. Instead it had hard foam on both the top and bottom with a strong plastic wrap. The machines arrived with no damage but it seemed like it was more likely to dent wrapped in plastic.

Samsung 7.4 cu. ft. electric Champagne Gas dryer with steam sanitize, This dryer is very modern looking and the Champagne color is beautiful, We Love this dryer it even comes with removable tray to dry sneakers and other accessories, The steam sanitizer is awesome to eliminate bacteria, Another great feature it has reversible door that can open from either side, This dryer is a really big step from our old dryer we purchase 15 years ago So many setting to get familiar with, We Love the matching washer also. The Delivery men were so awesome in connecting all the gas line and vent hose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying using this oversized dryer!! It is huge! I love that I can throw in all my bulky towels at one time. How about those big comforters that need to be washed every year??? This makes it a breeze. It has many drying cycle settings, a lint filter indicator and can be hooked up to your phone. Comes with a cool looking drying rack which is great for drying sneakers and blankets. This dryer is super quiet and my clothes come out looking wrinkle free.

Has a zillion settings, the styling is like a supercar ! Finish is nice. Capacity will EASILY do the largest comforter ! Love the steam option so clothes dont wrinkle. Shoe rack is a nice bonus addition... the leveling feet are EASY to set if your surface is uneven ! Super love the blue display (matches all of my other SAMSUNG appliances !!)... There really isnt enough words in a day to describe this dryer (which I got as a pair with its matching twin washer)!

The steam sanitize is the best - especially with shoes or pillows! it's easy to use yet very high-tech! the finger-print resistant surface is perfect when you have little kids that touch everything. we have our dryer on a pedestal so you don't have to bend down to get the clothes out. we also switched the door to open the opposite way and it was very easy to do so. I could not be happier.

I can easily set it for what ever I need to dry. I like the fact that I can turn the drum light on or off when needed so that it saves energy. I am able to dry bigger loads/items easily and in a timely manner. My family loves the little song that plays when the drying is complete.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using a front loader for the last 6-7 years and although they do a decent job, they are dirty and not the best smelling at times due to water not draining properly from wash to wash. This new Samsung top loader is fantastic. The features on it are state of the art and the cleanliness of the stainless steel tub makes the washer look brand new all of the time. The chimes it plays after a load is complete are great and cheerful and not your standard buzzer sounds you hear from most washers. It has all of the capabilities of your standard washer plus the ability to do quick washes, or deeper washes depending on how much of a load of clothes you have or how dirty the load of clothes may be. The outside look of these black stainless steel appliances is stunning and look much better than our previous units.

It has enough capacity to clean the entire load from the washing machine. The steam cycles like Wrinkle away, Steam Stanize, and refresh come in hand for delicates item and getting small wrinkles out for clothes that might have been misfolded. I like the fact a sensor on the inside will allow drying to stop when clothes are dry. The only thing I wish I could set off or on is Eco Dry. Eco Dry uses fewer resources for drying, which will take more time to dry. There are times I am trying to get clothes drier to wear for my 3and 2-year-old, and if I forget to turn off Eco Dry, the drying time will take 1hiiur and 15 minutes vs. 46 minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a lifetime of bottom of the barrel dryer experiences I was super excited for the arrival of my new Samsung electric dryer. This is the first time I've owned a higher-end dryer and I must say I am not disappointed in the least! It's all thanks to The Insiders!! First of all the thing is beautiful! The black stainless with smoke glass front is really a sight to behold! It's not only beautiful but it is also packed with features. It's huge for one. 7.4 cubic feet is no joke. No more worries about over-crowding with big loads. The moisture-detection ensures that I'm not over-drying my clothes and they always come out smelling fresh. It comes with a drying rack for shoes or anything else you don't want tumbling around while it dries. The door is reversible so your washer can go on either side without the door getting in the way. There's a lint filter light right up top to remind you when it gets full. The lint filter itself is just inside the door so it reminds me every time to empty it out before I put clothes in. There are 12 built-in presets to cover the majority if your drying needs but on top of that you can customize the dryness, temp, and time individually to get everything just right. My favorite thing is probably the steam cycle though. It's never been easier to get those wrinkles out! Not only will it use the steam as part of the anti-wrinkle setting but it can also steam sanitize the interior to keep it extra clean. Even better than I expected! Lots of convenience features and a beautiful design. Very happy with my Samsung dryer!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Laundry has never been such an amazing experience before this. I thank Samsung and The Insiders for reminding me that laundry doesn't have to suck! And that the laundry room doesn't have to look drab. I was concerned about having a black laundry set but I actually LOVE it. I am actually motivated to renovate my laundry room based around the laundry set! The design is sleek and modern without looking stiff without personality. One of the true beauty of the dryer is that its silent! Like truly silent. Not it starts silent then slow starts growling and shaking like a manic animal. It was such a pleasant surprise. Even the light reminder that the load had completed was not obnoxious. For the first time ever, I did not mind having a cup of coffee and waiting for the clothes to complete. That was my way of testing. If I can actually read my book and drink coffee in the laundry room while the clothes are being cleaned and dried, then we can truly call this a success! I used the steam dryer on my nightclothes. Super easy to use and it actually worked! What an amazing concept of steaming my delicate clothes rather than the conventional way of drying. But the drying performance for regular clothes was great too. Every pieces of clothing was thoroughly dried. I am assuming that this is because of the dry sensor. Terrific! I was surprised to see how many drying features there were. I am not sure if I will ever be at the point where I have ti use so many of these options. But it is great to know that the option is always there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good dryer, but very lousy guarantee and poor after sale service. These appliances always seems to break down after the warranty expires! WHY? And on top of that, repair service is extremely expensive. I don't recommend buying expensive appliances, like this one, just because the service age is very short. Just buy a basic dryer and don't pay extra for all the useless extra's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dryer broke down 6 months after warranty expired….technician Samsung sent out didn’t know how to fix it….wife caught him on YouTube trying to figure out how to install replacement part….he either broke it trying to install or part came broken….still waiting for competent technician to come fix it.

I bought this washer/dryer set 2 years ago the washer is great no issues. The dryer is another matter. We are now on the 4th set of rollers and belt. This is ridiculous. I tried to reach out to Samsung but the bot couldn't understand the issue. I always have to add more time for a normal size load to dry, the rollers/belt keep going out making it ridiculously loud. The top scratches so easy. It looks like my 10 year old set I replaced these with in just 2 years. I dont use it outside of normal laundry. My set that I had 10 years I never replaced the rollers once. Miss those LGs.

I bought a washer and dryer 16 months ago. The dryer failed.

Good Samsung quality. No operating issues. More-than-adequate cycles to dry various loads.

No complaints so far.

Absolutely Beautiful. Once it’s done drying, the machine sings u a cute melody. I wish the glass wasn’t so black, it makes the whole room darker. Overall I’m excited to do laundry. That’s a win.
