Bought this set in December 2019. Like another reviewer we are handy and thank goodness because we too have town this dryer apart 3 times to replace the full heating element. Then this week we barely scathed a house fire when the electrical outlet overheated. Wiring was fine and it’s on its own breaker so the only thing we (non electricians) can default to is that this dryer is the pits. Before my house catches fire I’m replacing the outlet and moving back to Whirlpool.

I purchased this dryer in 2020. Recently I discovered a hole in the drum. All I dry is clothes, so there should be no holes. Contacted Samsung and they refused to stand behind their product, only offering to have repairs done at my expense ~$400. Doing further research I found that this is a very common problem around the 3 year mark. Buyer beware, please do your research before purchasing.

If you are handy and love swapping heating elements this is the dryer for you. I bought this dryer about fifteen months ago and have had it torn apart three times. I have replaced the heating element and all components two times. And tonight a third time.

The lint filter design is horrible and spews chunks of lint all over my porch. The dryer door only opens about 90 degrees, blocking me from walking past the door. The sloped angle of the dryer top is useless, everything just slides off onto the floor.

Is fantastic set only issue is I have to reset the temperature on every wash but other than that I absolutely love my set

This dryer works awesome, it was easy to use and the clear buttons on the top is pretty easy to follow. It is very quiet and clothes dry with the first cycle. Really pleased with this purchase.

This dryer is amazingly quiet , dries clothes so efficiently and most of all... Looks good!

Still working out how exactly how to use it. When drying a comforter it took a really long time to get it dry. I am thinking this is to human error and the comforter just being so bulky. The drum size is a great size that can handle a lot clothes without being too full that it will affect drying times. The light is a nice bonus however it doesn't seem to light up that well, just the front opening. As it being a bigger size drum, it would had been nice to be able to see more of the back of the drum with a light. As that is were the socks like to hide. The controls are straight forward, with a nice selection of pre-sets. Once I get the hang of using the drier I think it will be a great drier.

This unit works well and is easy to use. We purchased the washer dryer as a set. As with previous dryers that require a vent modification to fit a limited area it doesn't state in the description that a kit is required. The installation crew won't do that on delivery. I found the only parts really needed is an elbow and a few sheet metal screws that costs nearly nothing at the hardware store. If your handy and have a few tools it's not difficult to change to your requirements. If not it will cost you. The kit I priced was $70.00 and a tech doing the service call may be much more. Overall we like the set and best of all, it's a South Korean company. Not China.

This dryer is awesome. It dries clothes quickly and shuts off automatically when they are dry with a moisture sensor that works. Occasionally it is a few minutes early but that’s fine. It is surprisingly quiet while running which is a plus. Would definitely recommend.

I am in Love!! This has been one of the best investments we have made with Samsung. Its sleek and most importantly quiet. I have 4 young boys and laundry is a constant pain, but now with the pre-selected drying cycles making it easy to turn it on and go. The Sensor Dry is my favorite feature, it senses when everything is dry and finishes the cycle then. Also the smart care feature that makes diagnosing any problems with the dryer through a code and an app on my phone, so much easier. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

this dryer has saved laundry in out house. we were using a 10 year old dryer before i was able to get this dryer. my old dryer was moved through 4 or 5 different houses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer to go along with the matching washer, Samsung model WA50R5200AW/US. It is a perfect match both in looks and in function. This unit is Samsung’s mid-range model and lacks the steam feature found on its higher-end models. At first, I thought this might be a deal breaker, but due to the very limited size of my laundry closet and the difficulty of finding a unit to fit, I went for it. The dryer and its matching washer were one of the few models on the market today that fit in my limited-space laundry closet. I replaced my older front-loaders, and boy am I glad I did! This dryer not only holds about three times as much as my old front-loader (it easily hold king size bedding – the entire set from sheets to comforter to mattress pad), but it also dries my clothes in about half the time. I never have to put clothes into the dryer for a second or third cycle. I attribute this to Samsung’s SenorDry technology. Essentially, the sensor inside the unit detects the dryness level and stops the unit when the clothes reach the selected level of dryness. To my surprise, the sensor setting works. Besides its s ten preset settings (normal, heavy duty, bedding, perm press, sanitize, delicates, quick dry, time dry, air fluff, and wrinkle release) the dryer features a wrinkle release feature. The wrinkle release setting adds extra time beyond your selected cycle to minimize wrinkles. It is a nice feature that seems to work best on those “wrinkle-free” dress shirts. Sadly, it does not work as well as Samsung’s steam units. There are also another 9 cycles that are combinations of the other cycles that adjust heat, time, and dryness level. The dryer door is reversible, meaning it can be installed to either side, which is great if you have a limited laundry space. I also liked that the dryer vent can be mounted four ways, which allows the unit to fit in even the tightest of spaces. There is also a lint sensor to let you know when you need to clean the filter, although I do it each time out of habit. Overall this is a solid machine that will suit most people. While it lacks the steam power of Samsung’s other models, the unique sensor dry makes up for it in terms of clothes dryness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung dryer is first off BEAUTIFUL and secondly the sensor dry feature is just amazing! I love the energy saving features if these machines! They turn off when not in use. It did take me a little while to figure out the load capacity in the dryer though. I had a load of blankets that took a while to dry but that is to be expected from A load of blankets! The musical tone after a load is adorable! I learn another exciting feature each use! I seriously love this set more than any other household appliance I have ever owned and I DEFINITELY recommend this to everyone I know!

The dryer is simply amazing. Its easy to use. The machine gets so warm and drys the clothes in half the amount of time my old dryer did when it was new. My clothes come out with no wrinkles and dried in half the time. My wife's favorite part of the drier is that the doors can be switched depending on what side you have your washer on. Once my wife saw that she fell in love. To be honest I don't think she has even looked at me that way. The features on this dryer are on point and everything is working efficiently. The Sensor dry works amazing. It detects how wet the clothes are and how heavy the load is and adjusts the time accordingly to make sure your clothes are dried. I have done around 10 loads now in this dryer and it gives you an estimate time based on your settings and when you press start it takes a minute to read the dampness of the clothes and adjusts the time accordingly. The Smart care app was easy to download and setup. Hopefully I never have to use this app because that would mean there is something wrong with my dryer. The capacity of this dryer is second to none. I can fit so much clothes in this dryer and I never have any problems with clothes being wet or damp after stuffing it full. The preset categories seem to dry the clothes the way they are intended to be. I have washed my dress shirts and pants and they come our wrinkle free. This is by far the best dryer I have ever owned. The light inside the drum make it easy for me to move clothes around without turning the house light on when I am doing the late night switch when you need something done by morning. I would recommend this product to anyone. As a bonus it even looks nice to.

Don't buy!!!!! It will break just a few months outside of the extended warranty

Garbage product that does not perform primary function to dry clothes. But I am told it connects to the internet so I guess that's the important thing.

Do not buy this dryer. Close the door and it starts running with the LED screen not lit up. No heat. Control board is shot. Did I mention that I haven't owned it even 5 years? Crazy expensive to repair, if you can find a "Samsung certified" repairman to fix it. I bought the washer the following year. Is that going to break down in the next year too? Tried chatting with support 3 times and no luck. Called them and the guy hung up on me. Not happy!

The products are Garbage, they don't last nor does Samsung keep replacement parts after 6 months of product manufacturing date, then the wont give you a cash refund or check only a voucher to purchase another product from them!!!!

We purchased a set (washer and dryer) in 2019. A year later, we discovered a hole around the drum. We contacted Samsung and they refused to take responsibility for their product. We tried to hang on to it because these products cost so much. The hole around the drum got bigger and dryer could no longer used, afraid that it could cause fire in the house. For what it's cost, these products should last more than five years. It's insane that after purchasing something that would last us for a while, now we are looking to buy a new dryer. Home Depot should not be selling these products to the public knowing the the manufacturer would not replace their products. So, for those out there thinking about purchasing dryers, do NOT buy this dryer!!

About a 1 inch piece of the drum has broken off and of course the drum is no longer available to buy any where. Definitely recommend to stay away from the dryer. Also recommend staying away from the washer. I've already had to replace the suspension rods on the washer twice.
