Bad Heating Element
Bought this dryer two years ago, and things were going well until last week. The heating element went out. Disappointed this broke only two years in.

    Absolutely the worst product!
    I bought the Samsung dryer 2 years ago. I have replaced the heating element and thermostat 4 times! My wife just informed me it went out again. It's going to the salvage yard this week and I'll be buying an LG, Maytag or Whirlpool.

      Don't buy
      The drier is awful, no matter the setting, other then timed dry, the drier doesn't dry. This machine doesn't do its singular job, DRY. I have dealt with this for over a year now.

        Not durable
        3 years old and essential started a fire/dense smoke in our closet with the motor needing to be replaced. Servicing through Samsung has not been helpful and big charges as we are out of the 1 year warranty. Very frustrating for what we thought was a high end device. Not planning on buying additional samsung products based on this experience.

          We have had this dryer for less than two years...
          We have had this dryer for less than two years and it started to make a loud banging sound, smelled hot and smelled like something was burning. We called Samsung and come to find out there is only a year warranty on their products. Seems like a brand new dryer should last longer than two years. Would not recommend due to poor quality.

The most common cause for an HC (heating error) error code is lint blockage either in the lint screen, vent system, or simply the dyer has difficulties exhausting the heat from the drum. We recommend running a vent blockage test.             Stopped working right after 1 year warranty.
            Stopped working 2 months after the 1 year warranty expired. Waiting for a repairman who is telling me it could be 300 plus dollars to fix. With a dryer being not even 2 years old there should be no issues.

                Roomy and Powerful
                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After much research and abandoned cart offenses, I landed on this dryer and matching washer based on my needs and budget. I've broken both in and am impressed with the drying capability. Each drying option works well without damaging my unmentionables or jumbled or twisted garments. My only gripe, which isn't a knock on the function of this product but a general observation, is that bulky items like comforters will ball up, requiring lengthy drying time. While I'm not visually impaired, I love the use of musical sound and braille to assist the user in wayfinding around the control panel. There's nearly a full scale and you can almost play Mary Had a Little Lamb. I highly recommend this dryer, especially if you want a sleek, visually appealing, yet functional product.

                      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it But there are 2 things I do not like the door doesn’t open all the way . Whent I dry blanket it’s a hassle because The Dryer stops when in the middle is still damp , when I put the dryer in timed dry on 20 minutes .. It turn off at about 5 min because it senses it’s dry But it’s Not ….. not sure how to go about that I have tried countless times . With 5 kids I don’t have time to waste . I have had it about a 3weeks .

The door of the washer can swing open to 90 degrees maximum; forcing it to open further may cause damage to the door. Please see the link for more details on how far the door can open. If your dryer has weak heat and runs for a long time, that could also be a blocked vent. And if your dryer ends after only a couple of minutes with soaking wet clothes, your moisture sensors could be dirty. And these are only some of the possible causes. Had a sweater that I haven't worn in a while with a musty order. Instead of putting in through a long wash cycle, I threw it in the dryer and selected the steam-sanitize cycle and the order was gone!! Also great with getting rid of wrinkles & allergens in clothes. Highly recommend

                            Good Product - Poor Installation
                            Product is fine. The installation by RXO was not complete. This is a Dryer with Steam Sanitize. The Sanitize feature requires connecting the dryer to a water line. The product name: "Electric Dryer with Steam Sanitize" should explain the installation requirements.

                                    Issues at less than 1year old
                                    In less than a year I now have a scrapping, metal to metal noise as the dryer drum rotates. Stayed home from work for the service visit - they replaced the motor assembly and it was much worse noise. They realized the new assembly was damaged so they put the old one back in and now another service visit later this week. I never had issues like this with prior units so this being my first Samsung appliances purchase is not going well.

                                      Never had an issue until now (2+ yrs)
                                      the only issue i have is the dryer will stay on for only 3-5 minutes then it cuts off. i noticed “cooling” stays on the whole time. dont know if that has anything to do with it. does the same thing on every cycle, clean the lint tray, checked the outside vent, no error codes, dont what to do next.

                                        Heating Element Failed
                                        They look great and was very happy up until now. The heating element failed after not even two years. I truly think modern appliances are designed to fail around the two year mark.

                                            Looks great but no heat after 23 months!
                                            No more Samsung, bad dryer and fridge ice maker. Just before the 2 year period the unit stopped heating. So, I suppose we have to change the heating element. The features are nice on this, but we really only use "Normal" and "Quick" modes. I have not used the steaming mode because, frankly, it will take way too long to dry. This dryer does not do the job quickly. The plus? It matches the washer! The minuses? Heating stopped post warranty, and takes too long to dry when it does work.

I understand how important it is to have your Appliance performing well. This is not the experience that we want you to have.


                                            Please ensure the Dryer is not in ECO DRY mode, as this setting will reduce the power consumption of certain other cycles but will extend the length of the cycle, potentially up to 3 times as long. Depending on the load size and temperature setting. One of the ways it does this is by beginning the cycle without using heat. Eco Dry is on by default on Normal and Time Dry cycles for models with the feature.

                                              Pretty, but unreliable!
                                              Dryer has problems with the main circuit board that takes three weeks to arrive. We had to pay $350.00 for service after 13 months. One month out of warranty. Now after 17 months, more problems with the heating element that has been ordered and will take another week. Have spent about $650 in repairs and it is not even two years old! Samsung's response is pitiful. Get the extended service contract, you will use it several times.

                                                Works great but annoying design
                                                We have had this dryer since November of 2021. No running issues. Still working great. My two biggest complaints are that the normal smart sense cycle shuts off before load is completely dry. I get around this by using the time dry cycle. Honestly, the most annoying thing about this dryer is that the top is slanted. So do not leave any laundry soap containers on top unless you want it to fall off and cause a river in your floor.
