if you have a Square QO service panel with a plug on neutral bar this is a great device for added piece of mind for all you expensive electronics. super easy to install!

The suppressor came a day earlier than expected. Easy to install, moved several breakers down two slots, and popped it in. The way they mounted the panel an external unit would be difficult to use. I will rest better knowing I am protected from a surge.

Very easy to install. Just read the instructions and look at the pictures. Doesn’t get any easier. If you don’t feel comfortable working around panels, find a union electrician.

This took 15 minutes to install, including removing and replacing the cover to the circuit breaker box, and moving the two circuit breakers closest to where the electricity comes in – where the whole-house surge protector was installed. I'll never know if the product works, and hope to never find out that it doesn't!

Why was this not a stock item ? Why did I have to search for it. Your electrical dept. guys did not even know about it and then argued with me ... saying that it was a Square-D product and would not be compatible with the Home Depot "Home Line" panel product line. I showed them the included product instructions which states "Made For Home Line Panels" This MUST be used in ALL Panels that are "Recessed Mounted" as the sheet rock will cover ALL of the other models you carry and will not be approved by the inspector if the "status lights" are not visible.

This is the highest rated unit that will plug into a Square D Q0 panel. For it to work the best, it needs to be close to in incoming power lines, so that usually requires moving breakers around. So far, it seems to be working - but I do not know if we are getting any surges. I installed this after added a back-up generator (non invertering type) in hopes of protecting electronics in the case of a power surge. I think it is required now anyway on new electrical installs.

It was as easy to install as I recalled, from my last house. I now have peace of mind about thunderstorms. Also, it saved me having to buy a separate protector for the new garage door.

I’m happy to have the surge protection. The only draw back to this is that to see if it’s still active, one has to open the cover to the panel. Next time I’d get the one that sits outside the load center and connect through a circuit breaker. Again, happy to have the product.

Yes the whole house is protected now plus we have a backup just in case it goes out.

Installation was fairly simple for me in my panel. Just slide in onto the busbars and done. Hopefully will never need to actually use it but never know these are more a safety thing than anything.

It was easy to install. I replaced an electric range in the house with a natural gas range then removed the electric range double pole breaker and replaced it with this, often called a "whole house surge protector"

Had to open up the prongs a little to snap it in place. Otherwise an easy install.Make sure to turnoff power. Take your time.

Don't we have to have a few lightning strikes in order to judge??
