Beautiful & sturdy tread.

Good Solid oak treads. Not a wood core and oak wrap. One side is finished and 1 side is still rough finished. Some light sanding and they are ready for finish. These are great for the oversized landing steps you may need.

Wood was blemish free!

The treads were great. We finished our garage and wanted to upgrade the steps.

I am very impressed by the high quality of these Red Oak stair treads. They are extremely well made and very accurate dimensionally. I ordered 15 treads and each and every one of them were flawless on both sides, making it difficult to decide which face to leave up. I had to ask my wife to select which side and then which step to put them on, so that they grains on each tread flowed well on the staircase.

I was disappointed with the quality of the stair treads. I ordered 15 and each one had several flaws in the wood. I had to look at each side of the tread to decide which one had a better finish. Each tread had several smaller boards glued together. I had redone a staircase a few years ago and had ordered white oak and every tread was in perfect shape, however I am quite disappointed in the quality of the red oak treads. These are very poor quality.

Excellent, just what we wanted and needed

First tread came and was flawless. Would work great for my project. Ordered two more and had them delivered to my home. They both had chunks missing and one had some sort of insect bite holes that ran all the way through with visible marks on both sides. I returned them. I will reorder anyway, since I already started my project with the first one, but this time I will pick them up at the store and inspect them first.

Met my expectations.

Well cut with smooth surface needing just minor finish sanding.

Stained, Cleared, and Installed. great product.

Stairtek product is great. The red oak came in pristine condition. I am actually using it for a fireplace mantle. I didn't want anything bulky, so this stairtek was perfect. We kept the 60 inch length and rounded over the edges. I am staining it aged weathered gray. So far 1 coat is beautiful, but it will need another coat to achieve the color I want.
