I even changed the rubber gasket in the connector but it didn’t change the excessive amount of water that sprays out of the female connector. I’d return it but didn’t save my receipt. Instead I’ll spend time and money replacing the connector and hoping it helps.

The problem is, the female end is zinc and not brass. All of the hose bibs in America are brass. So because these are dissimilar metals, electrolysis begins immediately upon attachment. So after a few months, if you attempt to remove the hose, you will find that it is basically welded on and cannot be removed. It must be cut off, and this also damages the hose bib, which then has to be replaced.

I bought this hose, for the second time, after it broke while I was moving my hose cart and it dragged on the ground. The first time it broke, it wasn’t because the product was poor quality. Since it was the only short hose Home Depot was selling (and because I didn’t know that it was weak), I bought it again. This time, it broke just after two weeks of regular use. I’m not sure if it’s just bad luck, but I don’t recommend this product.

This hose has anodized aluminum fittings made to look like brass. For those that are unaware, aluminum fittings corrode in water and will eventually be impossible to remove from whatever they are attached to (e.g., your hose bib / sillcock, your hose reel, etc.). The manufacturer should be ashamed and so should Home Depot. Sell a real hose with real fittings at the real market price and let customers decide. We all know inflation is through the roof, but don't try to dupe customers with fakes.

I bought this last year as a way to connect my drip irrigation system to my faucet. I stored it in a shed over the winter, so it wasn't left out or exposed to freezing temps while holding water. Regardless, it burst after about 2 months of being connected to my faucet this year.

I saw some people review that this hose leaks at the faucet end. It is probably because they didn't apply washers before they screwed it in. See my picture. The washer is included if you look closely by tie! I first bought and returned this hose because it leaked as everyone said. So I took it back to the store and checked to see if other hoses hanging in the display had washers. It didn't, but I came to notice that black washers are included! When I came home, I found a washer on the ground which fall out when I untied the hose. I applied the washer and it stopped leaking.

This was the size I needed, but I don't need how badly it leaks. No matter what we try, it leaks.

Quality product with adapter for universal uses, good price point

Man I really wanted this leader hose to work out. My house is on a steep hill and the spigot is on the downhill slope side. I needed 10-12' of leader hose to reach the hose reel up on level ground and got a couple 6' 5/8" Swans to test out. I also tried a Flexon 6' 5/8" leader (from Lowes) and the overall quality of this Swan hose is clearly better. It's a thicker grade of hose and was definitely sturdier than the Swan. It attached very easily and quickly to the spigot, didn't even think about cross-threading, and under a low pressure tickle test it was a charm. Sadly, as soon as I opened the spigot up, the connector at the spigot end started running like a sieve (pic attached). I unattached and reattached the hose a couple times and had another roommate (stronger hands LOL) try as well, but no joy. At this point we'd need a wrench to get a tighter connection and it's just not worth it. I only want to water my flowers, not my foundation! Maybe the part that fits over the threads is a little too short? It juuuuust goes over the last spigot thread. My garden hose covers the spigot threads completely and then some, and it's never leaked with simple hand tightening. Honestly if it didn't have this issue, I'd rate it a 5.

Working as designed

needed a small hos eto hook up power washer, nice study connectors.

I have bought this short hose year’s ago and it worked perfectly. So I bought another and I put it on , it leaked where the hose connects to the metal piece. I thought ok I’ll leave it on and deal with this problem another day. A few days later I was going to take it back to Home Depot and buy a different one . I tried it again before taking it off and returning it to the store. I turned the water on and there was no leak. It works perfectly as the one I have bought years ago. So I’m very satisfied with this hose.

Replaced a broken and leaking leader hose with this and it is working great.

Suits my purpose, to provide a lead line through a fence to a soaker hose.

Bought the shorter hose so that I could hand-water a planted area without having to unhook the larger hose which was set for watering grass 80' away.

This was bought as a feeder hose to a pressure washer. Not strong enough, need a more commercial/ stronger hose, zIll return it
