We installed a trex fence in Truckee, CA in 2022. We were assured that Trex product was suitable for ALL CLIMATES and had a 25 year warrantee. However, when the snow melted after the very first winter, the fence had fallen apart. The Trex fence brackets are made of plastic and couldn't withstand the mountain snow load. The plastic brackets broke and the fence collapsed. When we filed a warrantee claim we were told that "Snow is an Act of God and is therefore not a warrantable condition."

It is not even close to Winchester gray. They say if will change color but it hasn't yet

We've had our Trex Fence for just over 2 years now. It's fantastic. There is nothing better on the market. We live in the Los Angeles area. It has faded just a little, as the manufacturer says, but still looks awesome. Best looking fence in town. you can install yourself, but probably best to have a certified Trex specialist install it. Trex should be able to direct you to someone. It is crucial that you follow the Trex instructions for installation, and install everything in the ORDER Trex specifies. It does not work like a regular fence, since panels are a specific size. So posts must be installed a section at a time to make sure there are no unwanted gaps where fence meets posts. (In other words, don't set all the posts before installing any fencing, like our know-it-all general contractor did!) Tip: pitch the angle of the fence to follow the contours of your land, as we did. Looks much better than stair-stepping the fence!

Extremely Satisfied with this Tex Seclusion fence product purchased thru Home Depot. Everything was top notch including the on line instructions to self install. You get what you pay for with this product.

Very Easy to install my wife and I did it ourselves. We live where we have 70 mph plus winds and the fence has no problems.

First of all lets start when i picked up this fence from Home Depot. I purchased 30 panels, 32 posts, and two gates. I figured i'd save some money and have the fence shipped to a local store and pick it up myself. I should have paid the shipping to have it delivered to my house. this stuff is heavy! It took five trips with a 1/2 ton pickup maxed out with payload. A buddy and I were whipped by the time we were done. We both were extremely impressed with the heft and quality of the fence. I also purchased three 80 lb bags of concrete for each post which was hauled in two separate loads. I have about 1/3 of 240 feet of this fence installed so far. Installing the posts takes the longest. Each post has been using 3 bags of concrete. Once the posts are set, the panels go up rather quickly as you get the hang of it. After I got the first two panels up and had the measurements down, the other panels have gone up smoothly. This is also the first fence i've ever installed by myself. I've followed the directions and watched some Youtube videos on stringing your property line and fence line. The fence looks great and all of my neighbors have even been impressed with the look and quality of the fence.

I installed this product about 3 years ago now and we love the look of it. I found it very easy to install and work with. I actually customized my install quite easy with a little planning prior to placing my order with Home Depot. I found their installation instructions on their website trexfencing.com. I used longer posts and created a trellis above the fence using Trex 2x6 composite wood in the same saddle color. I also created step down sections qutie easy as well. Check out my pictures. The color seems to fade a little, but not bad it still looks great!

Many broken panels that had to be replaced by Trex. Were delayed one month on getting our fence in.

This was a fantastic product. One I got the post holes dug and post holes set, assembly the fence was very straightforward and easy. Also Home Depot Seabrook was fantastic in having 5 guys load the fencing into my trailer.

Seems like a good quality product, but the cost is way out of line.

Delivered on time to our home in great condition. Had contractor install; very happy with look and final result. Also ordered TREX fencing.

Very good end result but contractor who installed it said it was very difficult to make panels fit the distance between posts when spacing wasn’t perfect due to ground conditions— (lots of rocks in hard clay).

Installation was straightforward and easy using hand tools/circular saw. The directions have you cut the post tops then install the top and bottom rail mounts. After installing the bottom rail you are supposed to measure and cut each of the 19 pickets to fit below the top rail mount. Instead I installed the bottom mount and bottom rail. Then I placed a picket in the bottom rail to determine the mounting height of the top mount. This saved cutting 19 pickets. I then temporarily placed the top rail to determine where to cut posts. Cut the posts, reinstalled the top rail. Then secured pickets as per instructions with finishing nails and screws.

Very easy to install but hard to get

Love the new fence! Replaced a treated lumber fence that was rotting, and this looks beautiful.

Looks good, overall. Easy enough to assemble. Vertical slats have some visible warping/rippling which I'm hoping will not get any worse as the fence ages.

So far very pleased with Trex Fencing. I took down a wood fence I put up 10 years ago that was rotting all over and was an eye sore to me. Couldn't see it from the street. I do have a neighbor and I'm sure he didn't like it either but was too kind to complain. I think they are happy with this new and beautiful fence. I have Trex Transcend decking and have been happy with it so expected no less from the fence product. My fence was put up by my son in law and friends who had not worked with the product before. I had read the directions many times and felt pretty capable of giving directions. But, all I had to do was pull them up on the computer and the guys just did it. The 8 foot double gate was more of a challenge, but mostly because I needed enough space to get a camper in and out. They were able to adjust it a bit to allow that easily. My fence got erected and purchased over 2 seasons. I did one side in 2020 and the other side and gate in 2021, replacing an existing chain link in the second installation. This helped me with budgeting and we had no problem with color. Also, did not notice any scratches on any panels. We had it delivered and it was dropped in our driveway. The delivery service wanted to drop it at the street but managed to get it far enough in to make it easier with our cars. That service was most appreciated because this is not a light delivery. We did order a final section by itself and I did pickup at Home Depot. That was fairly easy but we had to unpackage it at the store to easily get it into the van. Not a problem for us, but if your vehicle isn't long enough to hold a 9 foot post, you might consider spending the $59. We also bought extra brackets. That was not clear first time around, but we figured it out for the second side. The extras are still in my shed. I'm not good at returning stuff, but no worries. All in, while doing my research I did not find a product I liked better. So far very satisfied. Hopefully my Trex products are still doing well in 25 years!

Nice quality and relatively easy install. Exactly what I expected, beautiful!

It's certainly a more expensive option and requires extra attention when installing, but once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty quickly. I chose this brand for the low-maintenance and because this design doesn't have a "bad" side. Just finished installing it and it seems very stable. Compliments from my neighbors too on the look and feel of the fence.

Beautiful fencing with rich color on arrival. Only gave 5 stars because it fades fast! Installed a year ago and ended up buying 2 additional panels to lengthen one side and there is a big difference in color. Wished it stayed the original tone. Also if planning to hire an installer it is hard to find someone. Most fence guys want you to buy from them. Trex support people were helpful also by phone.

Fades very easily. Stored this product on the side of my driveway to install for a customer and in a matter of 3-4 weeks it has already faded.
