Very effective. Easy to clean and bait. NOT HUMANE! They struggle to death.

Worked well for me
I found a mouse living in my car so I picked up a few of these traps and threw in a bit of bird seed. Caught one within 12 hours of placing the trap. Hope that's it but I have a trap in each car now. The mechanism doesn't seem that great until you see it in action. Perfect.

    Dont waste your money
I recently purchased a humane mouse trap and I must admit that my experience has been quite disappointing. Despite setting up two traps in different areas, there were clear signs of mice activity in both traps. Not only was the bait completely gone, but one of the traps even became a cozy nesting spot for a mouse. The second trap was not much better, as it contained mouse droppings instead of a captured critter.

Oh no! We are so sorry to hear about this. When using a live trap to relocate mice it is very important to monitor your trap frequently. Mice need to eat several times a day. They can also quickly become frightened and anxious when trapped and will go to great lengths to escape. To ensure a successful release, keep your eye out for a catch and relocate it as soon as possible.

Got 3 mice in 24 hours!
Works great With a dab of peanut butter on the lid and sprinkling some birdseed and nuts on top of the unit and around the unit. First was caught in eight hours and was hard to see without a flashlight because of tinted plastic. Drove a few miles to a baseball park and released. Reset the trap and I caught two mice shortly there after but they died before I could release them so I threw the whole unit away and bought a new trap for six bucks. Highly recommend this product!

        These are the best
I have a mice problem in my pantry. Put one of these out before bed and the next morning found 3 babies in it! Will keep a trap there until no more evidence of mice are found. Used peanut butter as the bait. Will release in the country later.

          Definitely working for me
Remove lid. Apply peanut butter. Attach lid back. Set next to wall where mice are known to travel. Check next day. Laugh at mouse stuck in trap. Take trap well away from house. Remove lid and release. Make sure mouse runs opposite direction from home. Thoroughly clean and dry inside of trap. Repeat all of the above. I'm not sure if I'm catching a different mouse each time or the same one. And I'm not sure what I want the answer to be. But this humane trap is definitely working out for me!

            Very cheaply made
Mouse ate right through it once it got inside. Very cheap plastic it’s made out of. You get what you pay for.

            Cheap, humane, effective
I will not use poison because of the collateral damage they do to pets and other wildlife that either eat the poison directly or eat the poisoned mice. Set this out in the garage 3 times and caught 3 mice. Very easy to release far away from my house too

              Works wonderfully
I bought this and placed it the same evening and next morning It had a mouse in it. Was very easy to pick up and bring to the provincial park and slid it open and the little fellow ran to a tree.

                Did what it needed to
I tried others with no luck. But within 5 hours of set up I was able to catch them. They had to be in it awhile before I could get out side far enough and it was not able to scape on their own. So I highly recommend this product.

Took a couple days, but finally worked! Caught TWO!
Used black sunflower seeds as “bait.” Didn’t work for a couple days and I got frustrated. Stay the course! After two days I set up a camera to watch the mice and low and behold, I snagged two of them! This thing works! And at $4 it’s a bargain. I took them away and released the mice in a nearby field.

                    Does Not Work!
Mouse just walked in, ate the bait, pooped everywhere, and left! Mouse might give it 5 stars, but I wish I could give it 0! I didn’t want to resort to killing it, but my roommate just bought a bunch of kill traps because we apparently can’t rely on the no-kill option. Very disappointed.

                          Very ineffective
Quite useless. After two days of listening to mice go in and out of the trap, I decided to use a snap trap. Within five minutes of setting the snap trap, a mouse was caught. One hour later, another mouse was caught. And another... While the concept of this trap is great, the operation is not. The mice dragged this trap from one location to another like it was a toy. I have a soft spot for all animal life which is why I chose a no-kill trap as my first option. In the end, they had to be killed because the trap would not do its job as advertised. Not a single mouse was caught with this trap.

Caught 6 mice with 4 attempts. This works very well. Mice go in and then patiently wait to be released. (Note: the damage to the lid in the picture is my own fault. Mice didn't do that).

Worked for me with some peanut butter and patience. It took a while (3 weeks to be exact) to finally get the location right, but after seeing the mouse make a few laps, I put the entrance to the trap right against the wall where he always made his kitchen run. Trapped him this morning and released him in a park a few miles away. NOTE: I had to tape down one end of the cover after sliding it on... it had a gap that could have been easily squeezed through otherwise.

Worked well after the modifications noted below. First off, I had already killed a few mice via the "5 gallon bucket log roll mouse trap" (Google it, excellent for large infestations like a farm environment, not my case of a few/several mice) and the Victor plastic snap trap (worked once, and then word was out I guess, and they were able to thwart it several times after the initial one-time success). Also I prefer not to use poison baits if I can help it. That led me to look for an inexpensive catch & release. The first couple nights, the mouse was able to get in, eat the peanut butter and get out (NJ mice, so a little more street savvy). After two failures I zeroed in on the ramp and trap door as being the weak link -- pretty big weak link, as that is essentially the trap. Solution: magnetize the trap door and the ramp. I used three small very power round magnets and hot glued them to keep the trap door shut one triggered. But the most important improvement was to simply lay a very powerful donut magnet on top of the trap to keep the ramp up against the top top of the trap. Further improvement was to hot glue a small piece of metal to protect the section on top that ramp rests against. Result = Success, two nights, two mice. Hopefully that's it, but we'll see.

Went to Europe for a month and when we came home a family of mice had moved in! Purchased two of the traps. A dab of peanut butter and we were on our way. Caught a mouse or two each night for a few nights. Released them into the wild at the abandoned Navy Base close by.

We apologize for this experience. A mouse needs to eat several times per day, so it is important that the mouse is released shortly after it is trapped. We recommend checking the trap frequently.

Find the trail they use in you home (look for droppings) and put it right in its path. Toss in a nice dollop of peanut butter and just leave it. I put the trap up at 4pm by 6am i had changed it 5 times with a total of 9 mice. These traps can hold about 4 adult mice or maybe 6-7 small ones. Remember to find where they are coming in first, block it off good. Then recheck perimeter. Good Luck

                                          Awww! These Beasts <3
These beasts are in action! I bought 3 of these traps when I noticed one morning that my cat had a mouse in his jaws. I deployed a trap and didn't catch anything. The cat is 13 years old and pretty useless when it comes to hunting. Then we switched to regular peanut butter instead of reduced fat. This was a game changer. So I discovered that I had a little furry friend squatting in my brand new truck. While I don't mind these little beasties that much, I was worried about damage to my new vehicle. This trap caught the little furry guy. This week we set up a trap in the kitchen because we noticed that these beasts are sneaking into the peanut butter cup stash. We have successfully caught and safely released two mice less than 4 days. They must be of the same mouse clan, because they have the same caramel color on their fluffy coats. One time I read "there is plenty of room for all of us on this planet". That is so very true. I'm really glad I bought these traps <3

Works fine and a great price
Used this trap in a lower kitchen cabinet drawer where I’ve noticed chewed straws and plastic bags along with mouse droppings. Used a pinch of bread as bait and placed the trap before going to bed. Over the last 10 days I’ve found a mouse every morning in the trap, once two mice. Once a mouse chewed through the top corner and escaped, but two pieces of duct tape covered that up as the picture shows. It does take a few tries to get the lid on properly and it could have been made of a clearer plastic as it’s sometimes hard to see a mouse in there (shine a flashlight up through the bottom). And you have to clean it out after use so wear latex gloves and run it under the faucet with hot water. As another review mentioned, you only think you have one mouse but you probably have quite a few.

I purchased two of these units (price was right). I found it difficult to actually open these units, almost like the tracking is not lined up correctly. I thought it may have just been the one however, both proved difficult to open. Caught first mole within 6 minutes of placing trap. He escaped within a half hour. Caught second mole quickly as well, he escaped within 10 minutes. Price is right, rodents do not get hurt :) however, unless you stay on top of the trap and IMMEDIATELY relocate the rodent, they will escape.

The see-saw mechanism in this trap is designed to prevent mice from leaving the trap once they have entered it. Additionally, the lid should be able to slide on and off easily. We apologize for this experience and would like the opportunity to provide additional assistance. Works but not durable
Bought the trap and caught 10 mice over 2 weeks, one and two at a time. After the second or third use, one gnawed his way through the plastic to get out the back. Reinforced that gap with a piece of a soda can and rubber bands. Subsequent visitors launched a wholesale attack on the plastic around the entry doors, rendering the trap useless. So, the trap is effective and reusable as long as you check it frequently and empty it. I did not let more than 12 hours pass between checks. Anyone reading this that thinks they only have one wayward mouse, be advised that's what I thought too...

I have 4 of these traps set up and several other types of traps. Over the past year or two, these have caught NOTHING while the others have probably caught a dozen. I keep them around just in case but, as of yet, they haven't done anything while others have. Too bad.
