Grass greened up beautiful after a good rain using Vigoro. Very similar to the Scotts brand in the way the granules look. Nice even spread. I set my settings 1/2 the rate coming out. I spread the yard east and west. The I spread North and south. This way the yard gets full coverage not missing a spot in my lawn. No burn spots. I use a pull behind spreader and it spreads at a wife distance. The spreader I have stops fertilizing when it's not moving. When I start moving forward the fertilizer opener opens and it starts spreading. Always buy a quality spreader if your able. In my front yard I use the Ryobi hand held battery spreader and that works perfect for the tight areas I just lower the unit and aim towards the ground more. In the open area I hold it about chest level and hold the spreader level and it spreads fertilizer far so no burn spots.

I would not recommend this product for St. Augustine grass because it burned a large portion of my lawn. The product did the opposite of making the grass more healthier and greener. I’m frustrated because several sections of my lawn is damaged because this product burned the grass.

It burned my grass. Be carefull. I followed everything but still burned my grass.

I bought this from home depot , I completely lost my lawn , it burned everything, please don’t buy this product ever and anymore.

For some reason, can't submit photos. Three times a year and the yard is the talk of the hood. Very expensive the past two years, what can you do

I purchased this at Home Depot, put it on my lawn two days later my grass is burned to a crisp and expanding. Devastated.

It burned my grass & the advertising on the bag said it would not burn. I’m so sad..

I gave this product a try just to see if it lived up to the claim. It did! Has my lawn looking wonderful. However, when I gave it the first cut, 24 hours later, it started to turn a light color.... Im going to keep watering. Otherwise, it did wonders for my yard.

This product created lot of small patches in my lawn. I would not recommend it to risk healthy lawn.

Great product! I have use it for years. I can truly say this product will green your lawn with 72 hours. Apply product and be sure to water it in well. Now enjoy your green lawn.

Wow I used this Vigoro summer fertilizer for the first time and am really impressed with the results. Especially since I laid it down in a heat wave in July. It holds moisture like it's supposed to do and gives you a real lush green lawn. Also, my lawn used to show stress spots in the summer heat and now it doesn't. Great stuff!

I've been using it for 5 years and gets great results every year. Got all my family members and friend using it.

I bought this product because of its slow release and no burn, and lower price. I applied the fertilizer on last Saturday. it rained in the evening. It was cloudy on Sunday. I watered the lawn both Monday and Tuesday. Thursday evening and Friday it rained. I didn't see greening. it was quite the opposite. I saw quite many burned spots, and overall yellowing or no change. Please see attached pictures. This was my first time using this product. I think I would switch back to Scott product. I bought two large bags of this product for two properties. I didn't see greening at either property. I thought that how risky it could be with trying a new fertilizer that I have not used before. Maybe I got a bad batch of bags off the production line, which means lack of consistency in production.

Had lots of patchy growth this spring, used this fertilizer for 4 applications over 6 weeks, waterning 3 times per week and grass has greened a lot and become more full I highly recommend.

Applied to my new sod and started turning green a few weeks later. Not in 72hrs.

I used this for my rye grass that I planted in the fall. I put it down right before it rained and after a couple of days, my grass looks amazing. I am in the mid south where Bermuda browns in the fall so I decided to put down the rye grass just to explore. I am the only green lawn on the block!

The fertilizer greened up our lawn amazingly quickly. Very pleased!

I used this on my lawn and it burned it really bad, I followed the instructions to the letter. Now I have to dig out all the dead grass and put down new seed. I would not recommend this to anybody that wants to have a nice green lawn.

Vigorous 72 hour is a great product if use right I love my beautiful green lawn a few days of rain makes your lawn Subperb.

My lawn was looked like it needed some fertilizer. After reading the reviews, I decided to buy this product mostly because the "no burn" promise. That promise was broken. There is burning all around my lawn, specially on the edges. I think this is because when I cleaned, I blew the particles back to the lawn (edges.) I still don't see greening on my lawn. In fact I see the opposite. I would not recommend this product nor I will buy it again. I will stick to Scotts products.
