Great Little Pump
I bought this pump in the summer after my main pump failed due to power failure and my basement got very wet. The installation was easy and it fit great in the sump pit next to my 1/2 hp AC pump. I bought the biggest Deep Cycyle battery that would fit in the box. We were without power for 6.5 hours yesterday due to the ice storm in Southern Ontario, with constant water coming into the hole. The pump worked great. I was worried at first the battery would not last, but it was still going strong when the power came back on. Great little pump. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

    easy to install
I am using this as a back up sump and it was super easy to install. I have to use a flex hose ( PVC pipe is recommended for sumps) as my sump is all convoluted in my crawlspace, but using a few connections and metal straps everything fit together and works well.

      So far so good
I have only had this pump system installed for about 3 weeks but it worked great when the main pump didn't come on 3 days after this one was installed. Cons are: 1) the float attachment method is flimsy so I rigged my own up (not a huge deal) and 2) the transformer for the battery charger is large and heavy so I had to run an extra cord and lay it down and now I have a lot of wires/cords all over the place.

      Wayne ESP25 Backup Sump Pump
Installation was clean and simple. I am happy with this pump. I replaced an old Wayne ESP15 battery back up pump.

      Works great
Installed this battery backup and am amazed at how much water it sucks out of my sump pit. Comes close to the same gpm as my standard pump. Very solid also. Just wish the float switch time was adjustable. You get about 25 seconds of on time and I only need about 20. Great product. Got the wayne battery too and am so happy with this system.

        This one lasts
While delivering a decent flow rate, this unit boasts a far better charging system than its competitor. You can count on this one being there when you need it.

        Works very well
I am not a plumber, but I figured all the piping to install the battery back up sump and I am proud of my work. Now I have to get another one for the other sump to back it up. I am very pleased with it. The undertaker did it again.

        Compact and Effective
The product works as advertised. Recently the float switch on my main pump failed and if it were not for this back-up my basement would have certainly flooded. The pump is very compact; I have a very narrow 'oddball' 14 inch pit and this pump fits perfectly next to my 1/2 HP main pump. The battery case is very large and can accommodate any variety of deep cycle batteries. The control unit provides a very loud tone for about 30 seconds when the pump activates; so loud that I can hear it on the second floor of my house. This was a nice feature because in my case we did not lose power so without this tone I would have been oblivious to the fact that my main pump failed. The only part that seems to be low quality is float switch, it is very small and the float is made of hardened Styrofoam (about 1 inch in diameter). I would like to replace it with something more robust but I can't find an aftermarket switch that will connect to this control unit. (It has its own custom connection)
