This wood is pricey compared to a pressure-treated 2 x 4 but when you need a smaller width and don't want to rip cut with the table saw, this lumber is handy. I used it to make a basic extended trellis for my grape vine to keep it all in place. I was surprised how straight the pieces were in the store given they are pressure treated and narrow. Of the few I bought, two had slight bends.
This lumber is pressure-treated so it will take a long time to rot if in contact with the ground or any other surface. It is treated with MCA - Micronized Copper Azole. It measures 1.5" x 1.5" x 96". This lumber can be painted or stained but only once it has dried out which usually takes three months or until you can splash water on it and the wood absorbs it.
