[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don’t even think about buying this model. I was on my third Repair for this refrigerator before I finally decided to throw it out. It was only 18 months old. I thought how in the world would I end up getting two lemons in a row so I went and bought the same model. Silly me. I bought it on August 3 and it was broken by August 31. The repair technician was just out here and he has to replace 9 parts, Eight of which were on the freezer side. He had to replace the damper on the refrigerator side. Who knows if all these new parts will actually make the refrigerator work correctly.

The November 2023 refrigerator was repaired twice for a clacking noise and then a frost appeared on the back wall of the refrigerator side. NOW let’s forward to the refrigerator that was delivered August 16, 2024. Service is coming tomorrow to adjust the refrigerator side doors because I can’t remove the produce drawers. In addition to that it runs so loud it’s disturbing AND the same frost has appeared on the inside of the refrigerator!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! 😡

It is beautiful and works great. The only thing that I was disappointed was the part on the ice maker...the drain part. It works great but was scratched up. If I was sent a new drain part, I would revise my review and rate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fact that the outside doesn’t show fingerprints and it looks nice. It seems very roomy for lots of goodies and I like having 3 drawers in the refrigeration area. The ice maker is a little difficult to insert but l do like the little ice cubes it makes. The freezer is nice with plenty of room and has plenty of shelving.

The shelf layout, drawers and door spaces are well thought out although we wish there was more adjustability for the shelves. The lighting is excellent. bThe refrigerator and freezer sections both run colder than the set temperature. The max temperature setting allowed in the freezer is 5 degrees and our freezer runs at -6 when set to 5. Overall, we have no complaints and are happy with this refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with the performance and features ontye 36” side by side whirlpool 28 cu ft fridge. The programmable autofill feature is a feature we didn’t know we needed. It saves so much time. The measurements vary due to how fast your water flows but it is big time saver. I much prefer a side by side freezer versus digging in a freezer drawer like our former fridge. It is a lot more organized this way. I would like if it came one more shelf bin for the refrigerator side.

The fridge itself is a good size. The ice maker does not make a ton of ice, but I knew that from other reviews. The main negative is the “fingerprint resistant” finish. It cannot be wiped clean and looks so bad. I have not touched the freezer side, but I tried to clean the fridge size and it just gets worse. Don’t get this finish, otherwise I am happy with it.

Still having problems with my refrigerator. Everything towards the rear of the refrigerator freezes. I have to maintain my refrigerator temperature at 40 degrees to keep pickles, cottage cheese, sour cream, etc from freezing over. Maintaining a warmer temperature causes other foods to spoil quicker.

This is supposed to be a energy saving feature. A refrigerator that never stops running. How can that be energy saving? Very unhappy with design and Whirlpool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an attractive refrigerator with plentiful, although not super intuitive, smart features. You will want to keep your instructions because they are clear. There are even settings for liquid ounce pours from the door water dispenser. It also makes the most of the capacity by its design. Another huge plus is that the doors open within the frame of the refrigerator so that it can sit directly next to a wall and still open. My only complaint is that the plastic fittings don't fit well. The two problem areas are that the protective cover over the light fixture has never snapped into place and the ice bin latches don't snap closed easily. We just leave the ice bin not fully snapped into place and it still functions fine. Our light fixture cover just hangs by the one screw because the two latches have never been snapped in place and we can't do it either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not entirely happy with my refrigerator purchase. Both fridge and freezer run too cold. My last fridge had internal temperatures on the display which this one does not which is disappointing. So having to use two analog fridge/freezer thermometers and having to keep the temperature set a couple degrees warmer than recommended to keep it at the optimum temperature. My other issue is the water dispenser, which conveniently dispenses a set amount of ounces that you can program however it is not accurate whatsoever. It dispenses about 2/3 of what you program; I set it for eight ounces and it gives me six, set it for 30 ounces and it gives 22, etc. Also runs much more loudly at times than my old Samsung, loud whining compressor noise I’m guessing.

We called a repairman who found we have the same unfixable issue as a class action lawsuit against whirlpool, severed wires in the door hinge from normal opening and closing the freezer over just 5 years. Whirlpool says they can’t help until the lawsuit is decided, so it feels like, “We’ll help, but only if the lawyers force us to.” Planned obsolescence from the brand that is supposedly the most reliable. Loved the fridge but can’t buy one every 5 years. Won’t be buying whirlpool again.

I bought this refrigerator in 2020. We have already had to replace three shelves inside the refrigerator door because they cracked due to regular usage. The ice maker has broken twice. We fixed the ice maker less than a year ago because the plastic tray was flimsy and snapped in half just from making ice. Now the plastic ice tray has broken for a second time.
