I got this lock for my front door as being able to remotely lock and unlock my door is something I have always wanted. This lock is extremely easy to install, it has the BILT app video as well which helps a great deal with the installation. It took me less than 30 minutes to remove the old deadbolt and install the new one. The lock is sleek and setting up codes with the backlit touchscreen keypad is easy. Unfortunately, the lock didn’t come with the WI-FI and Bluetooth module required to remotely control it hence, I am unable to review that part of the lock. As a touchscreen keypad deadbolt, this lock is amazing and beautiful. I gave this lock 3-star because it didn’t ship with the smart module.

I bought 2 of these a while back. I installed one for main entry and the 2nd for the garage door. Now, trying to install and add the 2nd lock to my account is frustrating beyond belief. The UI is sooo not user friendly. I tried both August and Yale App, same result:

The lock stopped powering on and would only lock via manual key. Filed a warrenty claim and found out the warrenty does not cover electrical malfunction. The warrenty is worthless since it is a electronic lock.

I have never been able to get this device to work well in terms of being a good addition to a smart home. Often doesn't connect. "Works with Google" isn't terribly accurate in comparison to the older devices which didn't need a separate app. It does well storing codes for people to enter...if you want a dumb house with a smart lock for people to walk into the home with. I have > 60 bulbs/3 brands, the older Yale X Google lock, and many other smart devices. I don't think it is me, but could be. Stay away.

Lock only a couple years old and need to replace batteries monthly as they don't last. Have tried different brands of batteries and all the same. Called Yale and went through the process to reset still same results not a good product for the money.

This is the THIRD Lockset I purchase for the same door and they are all DEFECTIVE.Yale will not refund me and just keep sending me to buy new ones after spending hours on the phone. DONT BUY THIS CRAP!

As a locksmith this is our go to home lock to install.

Best lock ever! Safe, reliable, even if there's no power or wifi, the lock can be opened...last resource...the key. I use it in every home...great for Airbnb/Vrbo guests. Home family can use their phone to lock and unlock, services can get their own code, you can assign reocurrences or scheduled timeframes, edit codes, etc.

First couple days Auto Unlock worked great. Now it hasn’t worked in the last 2 weeks. Pretty bummed. Also when it auto locks there is a weird clicking sound like 3-4 times

Not happy. Received a broken lock, and I already replacing a lock that broke.

Have it on 3 doors at home for auto entry. Battery life is main reason we go yale

Product is excellent, instructions were exact and precise. When I asked questions, the customer support responded in 24 hours and very knowledgeable and friendly.

Good door lock and easy to install.

Like the lock but the auto open feature fails more than it works. Sometimes the door unlocks when we pull into the driveway but most times won't even unlock when we are standing right in front of it. That is disappointing.

Works as described. Caution; need 110 plug nearby for WIFI
