What do I need for my teen's college dorm?
We have all your college dorm essentials. Use moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, mini fridges, and countertop microwaves where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with helpful products from your local Home Depot.
What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?
Be confident your home is equipped for summer temps by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If water gets inside the cracks, you could be in for a headache. On your house's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that may let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to keep rain overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.
What's your selection of moving boxes like?
Make moving or storage easier by picking up a mix of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those as well.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
What benefits do doorbell cameras have?
Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through an adjacent window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
