Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have good deals for Father's Day?

Shop now for Father's Day gifts that your dad will love. The Home Depot Father's Day Sale runs June 4–24 online or in-store, and you can save on outdoor power equipment, smart home gifts, grills, tools, and more. We've got Father's Day deals on all the presents you'll need to make his day.

What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?

Be confident your home is equipped for summertime temperatures by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping. On the outside of your house, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that might let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If moisture gets inside the crevices, you could be in for a headache.

Do you carry large moving boxes?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Restore power in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

Why should I get a doorbell camera?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's the project at the Home Depot Kids Workshop this month?

Head to our Kids Workshop on 7/4/2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a pint-sized wooden go-kart! Your little builder can assemble their very own go-kart craft — like the racetrack version but kid-sized. Remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor and leave some time to play with others!
