Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a garage storage sale?

Home Depot Garage Storage Savings are here, so start shopping now. From tool chests to storage bins, we've got bargains on everything you need for a clean and neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales online or in-store from June 22–August 18, and make this the year you clean out the basement, garage, and shed.

What school supplies does The Home Depot have?

When you've gotten your classroom decorations at the educator store and just need the basics, come see us. From maintenance like cleaning wipes to the fun stuff for art projects, we've got it. Command hooks and writing utensils? Check. Hot glue sticks for glue guns? We have those, too. Find storage containers, cleaning products, and more paper towels and tissues than you think you'll need. We support educators, so drop in to get any last-minute school supplies.

What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?

Make certain your home is ready for summer temperatures by replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On the outside of your house, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that could let water seep in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

Do you carry moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.

Why should I get a doorbell camera?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

When is the August Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop on August 1, 2026, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a pint-sized rocket game! Your little builder can assemble their very own rocket game craft — like a real rocketship but kid-sized. Don't forget to leave some time to watch your rocket climb the ladder into orbit!
