Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on storage bins and shelves?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so it's time to get shopping. From storage bins to tool chests, we've got deals on everything you want for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales in-store or online from 6/22/26–8/18/26, and make this the year you clean out the basement, garage, and shed.

Does the Shakopee Home Depot have back-to-school products for classrooms?

If you've gotten the classroom decor and just need the basics, come see us. From maintenance like cleaning wipes to the fun stuff for art projects, we've got it. Writing utensils and Command hooks? Check. Glue guns and hot glue sticks to match? We have those, too. Find cleaning supplies, storage containers to keep it all organized, and more paper towels and tissues than you could possibly need — because you'll end up using them all. We support teachers, so stop by to fill in the classroom supply gaps.

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Be confident your home is equipped for relentless summer weather by replacing or repairing faulty components of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On your home's exterior, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that might let water seep in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

Do you carry large moving boxes?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.

Is it good to have a generator at home?

Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?

Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

When is the August Kids Workshop?

Head to the Kids Workshop on August 1, 2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a wooden rocket game! Your little builder can assemble their very own rocket craft — like a real rocketship but kid-sized. The best part is launching the rocket, so leave some time to send your rocketship into space!
