How can I prepare my home for summer?

Be confident your home is equipped for relentless summer weather by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you could be in for a headache. On your house's exterior, examine shingles or metal roofs for damage that can let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

What's your selection of moving boxes like?

Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Is it good to have a generator at home?

Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

Do not get propane here
I recently used the Home Depot propane exchange offered by AmeriGas. The propane tank I received had a heavily corroded valve that leaked gas after calling the store. The online staff and store staff seemed indifferent to any concerns over safety. It is extremely evident that AmeriGas and Home Depot do not perform even the simplest of inspections for safety on these tanks. I returned the tank and received a partial refund. Now I am out the cost of the tank itself, but I’d rather go elsewhere than put my family and Home in jeopardy.

Beware if you want to rent a tool from Home Depot
When arriving to check out the tool that I had reserved and put down a $500 deposit on, I was told that I would have to scan a code on their screen and that would access the something clear that I would need to do before I could read it well I scanned scanned it. The code came up, captured it clicked on the site went to their site, but nothing happened. It would just do absolutely nothing and so I was refuse the rental based on the fact that their system could not dominate me my point also being even though I do have a smart phone and I wonder about people who don’t have smart phones there must be a backup way to access a tool rental, but not seems very discriminatory to me.

      Prompt and helpful employees
I went in to buy a roller shade and knew I'd need it cut to the proper width. I loved that an employee was available AND knew how to cut it! I didn't have to look all over for assistance. I was in and out in 15 minutes.

            Rude employee
One of employee was very rude, I was there with my six years old and it was the rough carpentry area so I was walking slow and very careful. I had a question so I stepped out of the aisle for a sec and trying to coming back and he was about to blocking the aisle for restocking, I asked him nicely that if I can grab the 1x4. He rudely said with annoyed face “make it fast don’t you not see I am trying to block the aisle. I understand that he was doing his job but his attitude was not how he should treat customers. And he saw me that I was in the aisle with my kid and wondering to find the right material. Bad experience. I should had ask his name but didn’t.

Ask for an apron when you enter
Ask for an apron when you enter because you become an employee as soon as you walk through the entrance. Not only will you need to learn the store layout, you will also need to find what you are looking for on your own. Don't ask the associates a question, if you can find one, because they will have to find another associate to ask them the question you need answered. You will also have to scan and check yourself out at the register, without receiving a paycheck or W-2 form at the end of the year. If you do find someone to check you out at a register and you want an email receipt, you better tell them before they finish scanning your items because they don't ask and immediately push the button and then say, sorry. This results in more time wasted because now you have to go to customer service and wait in line so they can void your transaction and re-enter it in order to get your emailed receipt.
