Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

When is The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale in 2026?

Get ready for The Home Depot Memorial Day Sale! Find big savings on fridges and washers, outdoor living accessories like grills, patio furniture, and outdoor cooking supplies, plus outdoor power equipment to keep your lawn and landscaping pristine. Save up to 40% off select online bathroom items and select appliances. Check it out online or in-store from May 14th to 27th.

What home repairs should I make before spring storms hit?

Be confident your home is equipped for springtime temperature changes by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. On your home's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that might let water leak inside. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. If water gets in the cracks, you could be looking at trouble.

Do you offer moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Do I need a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, blizzards, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, remember that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Why should I get a doorbell camera?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed.

When is the June Kids Workshop?

Head to our Kids Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on 6/6/2026. Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this sweet pint-sized soccer field. Constructing this tiny soccer game, reminiscent of the full-size tables, is a great way to hone fine motor skills, creativity, and listening abilities. Team up with your kids to make this fun craft while supplies last. Don't forget to leave some time to play a few rounds of DIY soccer!

Potential scanning violation - Refusal to fix deceptive signage error
The store is displaying a large 'Buy 3, Get 1 Free' banner (a 25% discount) directly over filters that have a 50% Bulk Discount ($11.98 vs ~$14.23 effective price). When I pointed out this conflict, the staff refused to fix the sign and forced me to 'choose' a promotion. I thought they would stack but don't understandably. The trouble is this store manager chose not to fix the sign but told me to choose one. Is she expecting me to choose more expensive one carelessly? Or mislead the customer to believe they would stack, and find out they don't, and not to bother afterwards? This isn't just confusing; it's a pricing integrity issue. The store is actively promoting a 'deal' that is objectively more expensive than their standard bulk rate. I hope the management chooses to fix this signage conflict soon.

    Discrimination
I was in line at the contractor checkout. The customer in line ahead of me was having some sort of difficulty completing his transaction. After a few minutes a group speaking Spanish got in line behind me. Mind you, I'm the next customer in line. After a few more minutes in line, I noticed the Spanish speakers voices drifting away. Why? A Spanish speaking cashier grabbed them, opened the other register, and began ringing them up. Clearly I was next in line. No "I'll take the next customer over here". Here's my receipt, review your security video.

      Worst customer experience ever
From the moment I walked in to buy a washer and dryer I was treated like a problem. Maybe it was because no one wanted to work? I had to beg 5 different people including a store manager to help me get the products down and load them into my truck. They ended up getting the dryer down but my husband and I had to load it ourselves using a cart after they left it! I have never had such a hard time spending $1469 in my life! Home Depot needs to hire better people who care.

        Great Customer Service
I went to Home Depot yesterday in Fairfax, Virginia and received the best customer serice ever. Four different employees approached me and offered to help me with my shopping experience. When I told them what I was looking for they escorted me to the isle that the item was in. I needed paint and I needed a color matched. Kathy in the Paint Department, knew exactly what color would match the paint sample I showed her, the type of paint I would need and how much paint I would need to complete the project. She really made my experience at her store very rewarding. I give her 5 stars for customer service, knowledge and expertise and strong communication skills. Definitely, management material. I left there very happy and I will drive back to that store from Potomac, Maryland anytime I need more paint. Thank you Kathy!

              Polar Vortex Shopping
Went to purchase a large item the morning of the cold snap. Loved that the store was nearly empty and the gentleman we asked for help was utterly accommodating. I have had mixed experiences at this particular Home Depot but my most recent was great.

                Great Service
Great bargain microwave oven, but the instruction manual is missing. The folks art the store did everything they could to help. They opened the box on another of the same model, hoping to find an instructional manual, but that lacked the manual too. The very nice lady helping me tried to download a copy of the manual, but the computer system would not let her. She was so concerned for me and my problem, she asked me to check back in with her after I call Vissani Customer Service.

The assistant manager seems to run a tight ship; one of the best stores.

                    Busted Tarp
When I arrived home, I discovered that the trap under the sink had detached and water was pour when using the sink. I rushed to the Home Depot to purchase the parts needed to repair the detached trap. The plumbing department associate was very knowledgeable and quickly put together the parts required to fix the problem. He also walked me through the steps to ensure a proper repair.
