I purchased an outdoor umbrella that was clearly advertised as $249, but rang up $349. Renee at returns/help couldn't do anything to help me saying that it must be mis-marked and people move signs all the time. She called a manager (John) to handle the situation. From the onset John was not pleasant and spoke very patronizingly to me. John pointed out that the tiny SKU written on the bottom left corner of the sign didn't match the SKU of the box I'd purchased. I pointed out that all of the other boxes in the stacks had varying SKUs (none matched the sign's SKU) AND that the sign notes that the $249 price is for "ASSTD. SKUs". I calmly asked him to explain what "ASSTD. SKUs" meant. Hopefully clarifying if I was wrong for reading it as "Assorted SKUs". Additionally, all of the information on the sign is the exact information that is on each of the boxes of varying SKU'd umbrellas. At this point he ripped the sign down and said it's no longer priced at that and told me to go return the umbrella that I purchased. He said that there was absolutely no way he could do anything about the $100 price discrepancy and he stormed off.

Better selection of cordless tools than other Home Depot’s. Also fliers promoting tools on my wish list.

Jake helped us pick out a fridge this past weekend. He was very friendly and went above and beyond to assist us. Something we expected to be very expensive and challenging to decide on was super easy, and we feel great about our purchase. Every employee we interacted with was great, especially the checkers at the garden section, who made my son feel extra special by giving him a sticker.

After guy from Home Depot came out and measured and sent job quote I paid in full. Now they are telling me I need to pay more cause the guy that took measurements apparently didn’t know what he was doing.

I've found recently that there are more employees available to help out. Since I am just a layman when it comes to home needs, it is nice to have employees around to help with the search. Also applies to the Garden Dept.

At 1.5 miles from my home, the best thing about this location is that it's very convenient; however, it's difficult to find help while shopping at this store. They need more trained associates on the sales floor.

A few years ago there was a food truck at HD Encinitas. The food was great, the proprietor friendly, and I would eat there with other shoppers. I think it was a great service.

Each time that I need help or have a return, the employees are really helpful and friendly. There is a good selection of products also.

The help, knowledge, and positive attitudes of the hardware section really helped me get the tools I needed to get my job done.

I have being harassed by border patrol by the parking lot just because I’m brown 🖕🏽

The parking lot is a mess and full of illegals.The garden center is very good, but the checkout times are long. The self checkout is not in the middle of the store so you gotta walk a couple hundred yards if you in the wrong side.

I love shopping at the Encinitas Home Depot as it generally has anything I'm looking for and if I can't find something, I can usually find someone to ask and they are MOST helpful.

There is never anyone available to help. They always seem to be having little meetings in the aisle between employees and act offended if you want help.

All employees were very attentive to my needs. I was asked multiple times if I needed help. Will definitely shop here again!

I needed a price 30 inches wide - gone depot has 24 in square or huge 4ft x 8ft sheets - made the job harder.

Bought a $2000 GE built in wall microwave & oven and it heats up the kitchen 10 degrees as both ovens vent the heat to the front so it is like standing behind an A-Bomb and the microwave incinerates everything & can be used only on Defrost. HD should replace & not sell these.

I've been in that garden shop many times in Encinitas. But this employee was absolutely outstanding. She's a younger blonde lady and said this was her first day back at work and believe you me I could not have been happier because she helped me and she made it very nice experience to shop there.

I LOVE the Encinitas Home Depot store. I not only get help when looking for an item but they are all so pleasant and knowledgeable.

My wife and I shop for items here all the time and I was pleasantly surprised at the new checkout area and system. I asked a question of one of the checkout assistants and they were happy to answer, even though it was busy at the time. I like the handheld 'technology' they all carry with them so they can check for inventory and location when asked.

Purchased a huskey 42 x 18 in tool chest. Exceeded expectation. Came back a couple weeks later and purchased a second chest 46 x20 chest. Very satisfied. Staff very helpful.
