Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store cut down energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as solar and wind.

Do you stock large outdoor Halloween decorations?
Yes, we carry many kinds of gigantic outdoor Halloween decorations, many of which are animatronics. Make your front yard the spookiest on the block with giant Halloween decor options, including skeletons, dragons, and witches. Dean the Deathologist and Skelly are two current favorites. Halloween inflatables tend to be less scary and are an excellent choice for homes with children.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
How can I prepare my home for the winter?
Make sure your home is ready for winter weather by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be looking at trouble. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roofing panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.
What's the best way to store extra holiday decor?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow unused items to free up space. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Shoe storage and other storage containers remove summer belongings from the equation. Moving blankets can shield fragile items. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular choice for any occasion or during the holiday season. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to give and to receive. You can purchase them online at homedepot.com or in our stores. If you're a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the Forest Lane Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Our gift cards can be used to shop online or redeemed in-store with no additional fees.
