What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Not a pleasant experience. The customer service woman helped me with my return quickly and efficiently. The young lady in the blinds department took a while to assist me while talking with a co-worker. I waited patiently for her to be finished with her conversation. Another elderly woman was also waiting to be assisted and had not received any help to which she eventually walked away while saying "Good luck" as she left the department. Eventually the young lady asked if I needed help to which I answered that I needed my blinds cut. She then turns to another co-worker to ask if anyone else was available to cut my blinds to which he replied no. Then she begrudgingly assisted me and handed me my item with a "Here you go". Was not at all impressed with the level of customer service I received at this store.

I shop at this store mostly due to convenience/location. I would appreciate being asked if I need help finding things, as I am sometimes walking “forever” to find the right aisle. Also, am I the only one that wants to hear “thank you” when I hand over my money, instead of,”here you go!”???

We placed an order for a large amount of wood to build a deck. We received a delivery date and a time from 6am-8pm. We stayed home all day waiting. Called the store around noon not answer, but they still had time 6:00 we tried calling again no answer. Googled an 800 number spoke with a rep they tried to reach the store with no luck. Our order never came. We waited more than 12 hours for nothing, paid people to be on call to finish the deck job which never came. So infuriating and we still don’t know where our supplies are.
