Take on any DIY project with the right tools – even if you don't own them. Rent power tools, use them, and bring them back when you're done. Finish your project without cluttering up valuable garage or workshop storage with tools you rarely need.
The Home Depot Pensacola Tool Rental Center helps you handle more complex DIY projects. No more old hand-me-down tools that limit what you can do. Complete your project safely and confidently by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, you may be able to find it at another one within driving distance.
If you dislike working or being outside in that winter chill, check out our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep worksites or outdoor event spaces warm. They heat a larger space than torch patio heaters, and they're also safer because they lack an open flame. We carry propane, electric, and gas heaters in various sizes. With good outdoor lighting and a jacket, you can extend play or work long into the evening.
For a more energy-efficient home, upgrade your insulation. Rent equipment made for insulation to install it correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. You'll enjoy steadier utility bills and a more consistent home temperature with new insulation.
DIY moves can be a huge endeavor, so let us help you check transportation off your to-do list with a truck rental. Choose from our many available rental vehicles. We offer many moving truck sizes, so you won't have to pay for more space than you need. Get your move on the road to completion today.

How do I rent trucks and tools?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You can also check out our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is at your local store. For more details on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
How long can I rent tools?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and long-term jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before selecting a van.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
