I went to home depot and had a great experience. They were so helpful in getting tow reindeer working and in my car even though the store was busy. With great attitudes as well.

Be prepared to be extremely disappointed in that store!!
The staff there are not knowledgeable about half the items in their own department.I even had to wait an extra 20 minutes in the electrical department, because the first person designated in the electrical department did not take the class on how to Measure and cut the electrical wire. good luck trying to find anything in that store considering they have pallets and pallets of boxes laying everywhere.

Friendly staff
This location by far has the friendliest staff. It’s not the closest location to my home, but I keep coming here because of its inviting atmosphere. Jada and Fish in particular were extremely helpful when we needed to purchase a washer/dryer. They were both very eager to help. Jada helped us in finding a washer/dryer that will fit our small space (none were on display, but she quickly went to her computer & showed us options). Fish was also able to help us with the checkout process. Very appreciative for their help in making it a stress-free experience.

Constant inventory discrepancies
We have been working on a bathroom addition. We have made regular trips to the Thompson Lane store. On a regular basis, the HD app will say there are a number of the items we are looking for available but we have been unable to locate them. Asking a store associate yields similar results all but once. It makes it impossible to trust the app. That is very frustrating if you are trying to make a decision whether to take another trip up to the store.

I found what I needed at the price I wanted!
I bought a glacier bay bath faucet and it was very reasonable and easy to install. I did have a problem with the new aerator and called support. They are sending me a new part. Very easy to work with support on this too.
Another Home Depot was out of stock on this product. I was able to easily check other stores for availability in the Home Depot APP.

Jack the manager went above and beyond even though he was understaffed and it was close to closing time.
Jack the manager went above and beyond even though he was understaffed and it was close to closing time. I was the last one in the store and no one rushed me out… they were all very polite and they all helps me with everything I needed everyone from Jackson manager to the flooring guy tonight I don’t know his name to the girl at the front to help me check out.
This was by far the best experience I’ve had at Home Depot on Powell.

Poor service
BEWARE: Very poor delivery/install service and very poor service recovery. Bought a refrigerator and washer/dryer. Clearly stated they were to go up stairs. Initially delivery guys refused to take it upstairs and said to call Home Depot for someone else to deliver. I called back and rescheduled install as the box was in my garage. 10 days later another crew shows up without calling first. They look at the box and said it can’t be installed. When questioned why the other 48 homes (with the same dimensions) in my complex could have a refrigerator installed on the 2nd floor, I was told it wasn’t Home Depot problem and they left. Now I have to pay a moving company to bring it up and a plumber to install. All Home Depot service recovery said was I couldn’t return the refrigerator (since I signed the paperwork after the 1st crew said it could be installed) and they’d give me $100 credit. That doesn’t even cover a fraction of the movers. Don’t use Home Depot for any delivery or installations. They aren’t truthful and then leave you to deal with their unwillingness to work.

Manager was a JOKE!
Manager Caleb Stinker was not friendly at all and acted like I was bothering when I ask for a item on the high shelf. He also treated another customer the same way. I ask a different associate to help and they did. They told me the other guy was a Manager on nights, that was when I started laughing. RETRAIN HIM. He costed this store our business.

Great Help With Kitchen Remodel
I spent 4 hours picking out cabinets, appliances, counter tops and back splash for my kitchen makeover. They took all the time I needed and were very helpful with getting the right colors, materials and choice of appliances for my kitchen remodel.

Easier store layout
I'm just used to this store layout over the other local Home Depots. Hopefully they will all be standardized soon. Feels like all Home Improvement stores are adjusting their layout.

In my opinion, this is the best Home Depot at which I've ever been. The reason for this is that they have knowledgeable employees working in each department. This is invaluable! I could go to other stores but I drive to this one because I know that, during the day at least, the store will be staffed with helpful professionals!

Let me first start by saying this is one of my favorite stores in the entire Nashville area, from the store manager Evan to all of their associate managers and the comanager, always are very professional, helpful and ready to make anything or any problem you have right. They go out of their way to make sure that you have a good experience in their store and really try hard with the younger staff members to keep the store clean and stocked with the product that they can get in. During Covid it is an extremely hard time to get stock into the store, but they do a good job nonetheless.
Today I am commenting on to in particular employees. The first one is named Janice and up until this day when I was shopping I thought she was OK as an employee, not overly energetic or overly helpful but just a normal employee that I would not comment on in anyway. The other employees name is Megan and again nothing ever jumped out to me. So on my Visit to the
Store, I had to pick up a little bit of lumber and a few other things. So I parked over at the customer service area as I normally do and I had a large trailer on my truck. Parking in this end of the store is the only place you can really park where are you have room to park a large trailer. So as I approach customer service Janice asked me hey there do you have a return, I said no. I need to check out, this is normally is not a problem but apparently today is different. So She looked at my cart and said you’re checking out with all of that? I glanced at the cart and thought to myself, she must think that $2000 worth of stuff in actuality I think it was $100. In addition it was not that many items maybe 15 items total. So I turn back to her and I said yes with all of that. It made me feel uncomfortable because she was acting like it was a problem that I was checking out in that area. I mentioned to her briefly, Janice if you do not want to check me out, That’s OK I don’t mind waiting on someone else that doesn’t mind checking me out. She declined and said no that’s OK. She said why don’t you check out at the other end of the store where the registers are? She said this in a very condescending way and almost scoffing at me for trying to spend money. I explain to her, which I should not have had to, I did not think it was a problem to check out at customer service. She said, well I don’t know why you check out here. I dealt with the gram look on her face during the entire ringing process as she seemed disgusted that she had to come and ring me up.
After she finished bringing me up I said to her in a very polite way, Janice, what you said to me is extremely rude just so you know. When people are checking out they don’t want to be questioned where they should be checking out or not. So it’s a little bit rude how you said it to me like you did not want me checking out over here and I should’ve been checking out somewhere else. As I finished speaking the other cashier who was nowhere during any of this but felt the need to participate in my conversation said to me very loudly, thank you sir have a nice day bye-bye.
Now writing that is one thing when you hear the cashier say it it’s very childish and condescending and rude. I come to Home Depot for all of my supply needs and I do understand that the staff is made up a very different people and some of them are very young and inexperienced and dealing with the public. I do understand the condescending way that they speak to you because they’re not experienced in customer service very much and that’s one reason that I can write a review and still shop at the store with confidence That I can still get all of my needs met for supplies and be treated with respect and enjoy my shopping experience. Sometimes we run into staff members that are not top-notch. I will say in the store the majority of the staff members are 100% Top notch.
On a separate note I went back into the store today and there were nine staff members standing behind the customer service desk. I had a $700 return because I had stockpiled a lot of items that I did not use on a large job. As I stood there for about 10 minutes no one even looked at me except for the same cashier who felt the need to involve herself in my conversation with Janice.
The cashiers name was Megan and she has tattoos on her arms, very visible, just a differentiate heard from another Megan that may work there. So I’m standing there with two carloads full of lumber, PVC pipe, PVC fittings, and a variety of other items. So Megan looks over at me and she’s joking around with three or four other staff members and laughing and throwing paper red mark and laughing and cutting up but never came over to help. But she did look right at me and looked away. I patiently waited and they were all joking and cutting up which is OK but when there’s a person standing waiting to do a return and there’s nine staff members behind the counter one of which was helping another customer beside me and a few of them were working on the other side on some other stuff, it would’ve been nice for someone to say, hey can someone help that customer. That did not happen. And Megan looked at me again. And then turned away. I’m still standing there after 10 minutes or so, the young lady that was helping the other customer that was beside me finished up with that customer. So Victoria rang me up and was very pleasant and nice, what a great staff member to be as helpful as she can and no one else is helping her out. After I checked out and there was a couple items that did not ring up on my return so I had to read through the receipt and when I needed to return those three items David had moved up to the front of the store and offered to help me out several times. David has a staff member that is always helpful and there to lend a helping hand if needed. He has always been a great help. In closing Janice and Megan are very rude and condescending and play when they should be helping the people that are spending money on the store. Thank goodness the management staff is stellar and couldn’t do a better job. Evan runs that store like a top. Thank you.
