How do I stop cold air around the door?
If you have cold air seeping in under the door, check your door sweep, the rubber piece on the bottom of the door, for cracks and missing pieces. Replace it if it's torn. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?
When the temps drop outside, it's challenging to work out in the elements. However, it may be the perfect time to clean up your indoor workspaces and house instead. Some time organizing the shed, garage, or basement will pay off when the weather warms. You won't have to replace lost hand tools because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning supplies, and you'll be ready when spring has sprung.

How can chainsaws help with yard and tree cleanup?
Use chainsaws to remove dead or broken branches from trees. Trimming damaged wood keeps your trees healthier. Oil up your Milwaukee chainsaw before using it, and swap out any rusted or dull chains. Unless you're a trained arborist, please leave tree removal to the professionals. Trees already on the ground can be cut into smaller pieces and burned for firewood.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?
Yes, the Woodland store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to check the availability of the kits.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Home Depot gift cards are a popular choice for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to give and to receive. Purchase gift cards at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store, all with no additional fees.

    TOO MANY EMPTY BAYS
I NEEDED SAKRETE, BUT THE BAY WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. THERE WERE TWO PALLETS ON THE SHELF ABOVE. I WAITDD 40 MINUTES TO GET SOMEONE TO FORKLIFT A PALLET DOWN TO FLOOR LEVEL. TOO MANY BAYS ARE EMPTY THAT SHOULD BE FILLED WHEN PRODUCT IS AVAILABLE ON SHELVES ABOVE. THIS IS A POORLY MANAGED STORE!

    Fantastic Customer Service
I needed help with finding a room darkening shade that was difficult to install. I received such excellent advice from employee Hanne Deshan in the window department that my project turned out perfect!

        Manager took charge
I have to the tile isle at least 4 times in the past week looking for 1/2” hardi backer, every time the bay was empty. I was told on every occasion that the had over 100 sheets in the back and that the hardi backer would be out the next day, we’ll it wasn’t and I wasn’t in a big hurry so I just keep checking and never saw it restocked. Well i now need it tomorrow and didn’t feel like driving out of town for a product that is in the back. I ask to speak with a manager (Diego) showed up and took care of the problem himself minutes later Diego was driving a fork lift with a pallet of hardi backer, I was extremely impressed with Diego.

          Very large store.
This is a large, cleaner than most, Home Depot. However, there aren't many salespeople working there, but there weren't many customers either. It felt peaceful and airy. The Emeryville store, for instance, is crowded and dirty with a number of rude and nonresponsive employees. Typically there are 12 or more people in line and only 1 or 2 checkers, with a lot of employees standing around.

Super customer service on a hot June day!
The 20" synthetic bender boards are super. They are way to install and they keep their color. The Garden staff is wonderful!
