What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

The store is a bit smaller, which is nice. The employees seem like they care a lot more then the employees at the Power inn Location. I liked the layout of the store and the area to pull up after purchasing is just big enough for everyone to be able to load up. I am really happy with my experince and the fact this is my new home location.

The Employees there purposely avoid Eye Contact with Customers, pretend to be busy, etc. I’ve gone there 3 times in the past week to complete my fence-deck wood stain project and was gonna take advantage to hire a kitchen Countertop/sink/cabinet install but the 3 people that were sitting down failed to see me standing there for 15 minutes or more, ALL 3 OF THEM LOOKED DOWN AND PRETENDED NOT TO SEE ME. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 times in the past week. DO YOU NOT WANT MY BUSINESS? ITHEN PRECEDED TO GO AND CHECK OUT IN THE FRONT LANES FOR SELF CHECK OUT, THERE WAS 6 EMPLOYEES STANDING THERE BUT ONLY 2 SELF CHECKOUT LANES CLOSED? I DONT CARE ABOUT SELF CHECK OUT BUT TO HAVE A LINE OF 15 People waiting for a checkout lane is ridiculous all while you have 6 Home Depot Employees standing in the check out lanes makes no sense. OBVIOUSLY THE STORE MANAGER DOESNT CARE

I had a very pleasant shopping experience today at our local Home Depot. I ordered online , eight bags of garden soil. When I was notified it was ready for pick-up, I went to the store and parked in the reserved parking area. I had the pleasure of having Hector and Marcos load the bags while we had conversation. I hope Home Depot keeps this policy even after covid-19. I was saved the hassle of looking for a flat cart, loading eight large bags of soil, waiting in line to pay, loading these bags into my vehicle and still have to unload them at home. Hector and Marcos were so very friendly, they made my day.

The store was clean and well-stocked! However, my experience at the paint desk was very negative. I was friendly from the start, but the gal working there was very rude and short with me! I don’t normally write reviews but I feel this should be shared, because I don’t want anyone else to be treated the same way or have the same experience. This was a real bummer because I love this store!
